World of Tanks will be going into beta for Xbox 360, and Wargaming is accepting applications. An Xbox Live Gold account is required to participate in it. The game will be free-to-play with an XBL Gold memberships when it launches this summer, but Silver members will be able to try out a demo to see if it warrants a Gold membership for them. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag contains ship battles. You know this already, plus, what would be a a game about pirates without such a thing? Have a look at some ship exploding gameplay below. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is due on PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 in late October and early November. PS4 and Xbox One versions are due alongside the consoles.

The Neverwinter beta is coming to an end soon, and it is going out with a bang of sorts. Starting today, a three part event for players in the beta will commence along with double the rewards until June 17. Then, the second phase starts in which players will be tasked with guarding the Protector’s Enclave until June 20. Finally, the third phase on June 19 add stronger and more monster. Those who succeed in the final two phases will be handed a companion, special rewards and other goodies. The event ends when the game launches on June 20. To get you excited for launch, Cryptic has released a new “What is Neverwinter” trailer. Enjoy.

Superman nemesis General Zod will be the fourth DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us. The character was revealed through on of Conan O’Brien’s “Clueless Gamer” segements and confirmed by Ed Boon on Twitter. Expect a gameplay video demonstrating his moved next week. Civilization 5: Brave New World has a new video available from E3, which focuses diplomacy which is apparently a big deal in the game as in life. I’d fail miserably and just launch an all out war with my neighbors. This is why I don’t play strategy games: I am horrible at them. Anyway, watch the trailer below. Brave New World is expected in North America on July 9 and elsewhere on July 12.

New Pokémon X and Pokémon Y screens, information, and trailer has been released by Nintendo, showing off the Kalos region; its many towns to explore; people to meet; and never-before-seen Pokémon to encounter. Players will also meet new Gym Leaders to challenge and collect Gym Badges from as they travel throughout Kalos.

Earth Defense Force, assemble! Somehow or other we are under attack by giant insect aliens again, and as usual everyone else is uselessly dying. Cue the arrival of Air Raider, who appears with a Metal Gear Solid homage to save the day. The recently delayed Earth Defense Force 2025 is headed to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2014.

Square Enix has released a developer video for Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn which discusses the MMO’s Full Active Time Events, also known as F.A.T.E. These are events in the game which can happen randomly while the player is minding his or her own business running about the game world. The events can come in the form of a huge monster spawn, or a group of such appearing in non-instanced areas. When it occurs, an alert will pop up on the game screen so player in the zone can join in. Find out more below. Game’s out on PC and PS3 in August and will release on PS4.

Fez 2 is in development at Polytron, according to an announcement made at the end of the Horizon Indie Game Conference at E3. While Phil Fish wasn’t there to make the announcement, the logo for the in-development title was shown, according to our newshound on the round Catherine Cai. No other details were provided, but once we know more, we will be sure to pass it along. You can watch the teaser shown below.

Quite a few videos have been released for Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, and each are less than two minutes long but at least you get a look at gameplay. If you are feeling brave, IGN has 13 minute video of it here. Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the first quarter of 2014. Master Reboot is an adventure horror title with puzzle elements up on Steam Greenlight for your consideration. The game revolves around something called a Soul Cloud, where you can “upload your soul to our dedicated servers and relax knowing that a part of you will live on for eternity”. Sounds creepy.
