Double Fine accepting PayPal donations, releases episode one in documentary series
Double Fine has released A Perfect Storm for Adventure, the first episode of its documentary series titled which gives you a look at the beginnings of its Kickstarter fundraiser. The firm has also opened up a PayPal account in case you missed out on donating to the Double Fine Adventure the first time out. Those who donate will receive access to the forums, code to download the game on Steam for PC or Mac as well as for Linux or Android. You will also be able to participate in the beta and receive streaming video of the firm’s 2Player Productions documentary series. Watch the first episode below.

Street Fighter x Tekken lands on PC today
Capcom has released Street Fighter X Tekken on PC. The game is now available at retail stores across Europe and worldwide on all major digital download sites. It includes all game modes and features from the console version, with added graphical options and 3D-vision capabilities. It retails for $49.99, but Steam has it 10% off at the moment, a it’s likely on sale through other outlets as well.

DOTA 2 beta becoming more popular than Skyrim, Counter-Strike on Steam
Despite still being in only a beta, DOTA 2 is becoming even more popular than Counter-Strike 1.6/Source or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, according to PC Gamer. While CS 1.6 and Source hold their own on US peak times, DOTA 2′s beta overtakes the two during downtime hours, indicating a more international audience for the title.

Stronghold 3: Gold Edition hits PC and Mac May 25
Firefly Studios has announced Stronghold 3: Gold Edition will be released on May 25 for PC and Mac. The release comes with the new Blackstaff single-player campaign and all 12 historical sieges, previously only available through special editions of the game as well as the three core campaigns, four multiplayer modes including the new Coronation mode, and a free-build sandbox mode. Those who already own Stronghold 3 or purchase it before May 25 will have their copy automatically upgraded to the Gold Edition through Steam. Those who purchase the standard edition after this date will have the option to purchase the Blackstaff Campaign as downloadable content. Shots of the new campaign are posted below.

Report: GameStop to start selling Steam vouchers
Steam vouchers will go on sale soon at GameStop stores, Kotaku‘s reported. The site’s carrying a picture of a voucher tied into the Valve service. The vouchers will go on sale in stores beginning next Tuesday, May 15.

Bethesda’s announced the original Wolfenstein 3D is now free-to-play as a browser game as part of the game’s 20th anniversary celebration. Grab it here. Perpetual Testing Initiative now available for Portal 2
Valve has announced the free Portal 2 update, Perpetual Testing Initiative, is now available on PC and Mac. The DLC allows players to “easily create, share, and play Portal 2 puzzles,” via the in-game Puzzle Maker. Log into Steam and get to downloading.

Alan Wake American Nightmare will be releases on Steam May 22 and is now available for pre-order and is 10% off. If you own the original game, you can get it for 15% off. The game was first outed as coming to the service back in April. You can also grab the game off GOG and save 25% of you pre-order, which in the end will run you $13.49. If you “pick it up with the original Alan Wake” you will save an additional 15%.

Portal 2 sells 4 million units combined on PC and console
Valve has announced Portal 2 has sold over 4 million copies combined on PC and console since it was released a year ago. The figure was provided to Neogamr by level designer David Sawyer. The entire franchise has now sold over 8 million total, with the original Portal game selling over 4 million units – a figured which doesn’t take into account Steam sales. Thanks, Gamasutra.

Ys Origin hitting Steam in May with English text
XSEED has localized Ys Origin and will release the game on Steam later this month, according to Siliconera. The game details the back story of the twin Goddesses Reah and Feena and contains three playable characters – each with its own story and gameplay. After the core game is completed, players will be able to try out Time Attack, Boss Rush, and Arena modes. Upon release, the game will contain widescreen support and Steamworks integration.
