PlayStation 4′s spotlight status at E3 has given interest in PS Vita a boost, Sony’s UK chief Fergal Gara has claimed. The exec has also touted the handheld’s position as a companion device for PS4 in a new interview, suggesting the two will grow increasingly symbiotic going into next-gen.

Just a reminder: the Jak and Daxter Collection is now available for Vita in North America. It contains remastered HD versions of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2, and Jak. It will contain three more Platinum trophies than was available with the PS3 version released in February 2012. The collection will run you €29.99/$29.99. Those in Europe should expect the game to arrive on PSN with the usual PS Store update tomorrow.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is still heading west at some point, but the release has been delayed, according to SEGA. The delay in the western release was announced three months back when it was slated for an early 2013 release, so the fact that it is still delayed hopefully means you will still be able to play it at some point. Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode 2 will release in Japan next month, and the game is available on PC and Vita. Thanks, Kotaku.

The team used Spelunker and Challenger as inspirations, but don’t let the retro 8-bit art style fool you: this will be an “incredibly difficult platformer with very precise controls requiring pixel-perfect inputs,” according to the developer.

Curve Studios has announced that when Stealth Inc launches, the Teleporter Chambers level pack containing 20 new levels, will be available at release. The pack puts “a radical spin” on Stealth Inc’s gameplay, and forces the player to think strategically in order to beat its mind-bending puzzles. Also, two new DLC level packs for Stealth Inc will be debuting exclusively on PS3 and Vita later this year. So that is goo news for puzzle fans. Find out more on the PS Blog.

The publisher intends to deliver Valhalla Knights later this year, and to remind you why this is a pleasing prospect, offers an E3 2013 trailer. The latets YS game to head west courtesy of the diligent team at XSEED is Ys: Memories of Celceta. The Vita RPG drops in September, and tells a familiar JRPG story of a young amnesiac man searching for his identity. This one’s all set in a spooky forest, though, which is pretty rad. gaze upon the pure Nihon Falcom goodess in the E3 2013 trailer within.
