Unchained Blades hitting eShop and PSN this spring
Xseed has announced Unchained Blades will be released digitally on PSP and 3DS this spring through PSN and Nintendo’s eShop. The firm announced last month the game would be fully localized and contain English voice overs. That’s something else to look forward to, then. Thanks, Siliconera.

Rurouni Kenshin headed back to PSP
Anime’s second most stylish ronin is back: Andriasang reports Namco Bandai has announced a second PSP outing for Rurouni Kenshin. Like last year’s effort, it’s a fighter, and should release in northern summer. The first one didn’t escape Japan – nor have any Rurouni Kenshin games as I recall – so don’t hold your breath unless you’re import-friendly.

XSEED no longer handling Grand Knights History
RPGGamer EIC Michael Cunningham has said on Twitter that XSEED is to no longer publish the western localisation of Grand Knights History. XSEED, via a tweet from Cunningham, said a lack of “development resources” from developer Vanillaware was to blame. In Europe, Rising Star is launching the PSP RPG later this year.

Time Travelers set to get summer release in Japan
Level 5 will release Time Travelers in Japan this coming summer, according to a Nintendo retail pamphlet. The book says the time travelling adventure will launch in either June or July, backing up a tweet from the game’s composer of a summer release back in February.

Fate/EXTRA collector’s edition detailed, lands in Europe May 4
Ghostlight has announced via the PS Blog that the collector’s edition for Fate/EXTRA will be released in Europe on May 4. Developed by Imagepooch and Type-Moon, the PSP title set in a parallel universe to the Japanese visual novel Fate/Stay Night has been available in the US since November. The collector’s edition includes a hardback digibook featuring a soundtrack CD and artbooklet in a special collector’s box. It will be released on PSP on May 4 priced for £39.99, If you purchase it through the Ghostlight Store, you’ll also receive a collectible Fate/The Facts magazine and a large, A1 poster featuring the box art. The PSN release is coming “fairly soon,” according to Ghostlight’s community manager Ross Brierley, but there still sin’t a date just yet. Hit the break for a shot of the collector’s edition.

Japanese charts – Fire Emblem Awakening shows strong debut, 3DS sales up by 20,992 units
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart and Fire Emblem Awakening on 3DS debuted with 242,600 units sold. 3DS maintained its hardware lead with 84,760 units moved, which is 20,992 units more than last week. Full chart is below.

Monster Hunter gets PSP puzzle spin-off
Capcom’s promised big announcement in Famitsu? If you said Monster Hunter-related, you’d be right. A fully-fledged Vita title? Guess again. The magazine’s unveiled the puzzle-based Airu de Puzuruu in its latest issue this week. The game, which seems to be based from a falling blocks-based concept, features MH’s Felyne characters. It’ll release on June 19 for PSP in Japan.

Super Collapse 3 yanked from PSN over exploit fears
Sony has withdrawn Super Collapse 3 from sale on most regional PlayStation Stores. Polygon reports the PSP title was taken down within 24 hours of hacker group Wololo’s announcement of the game’s vulnerability to exploit. Although the group’s effort does not enable pirated games, it does allow for homebrew apps and games, something the Japanese Giant frowns on.

Screenshots show first look at Acquire’s New Class of Heroes: Chrono Academy
Acquire has provided the first look at its RPG in the works, New Class of Heroes: Chrono Academy, via a set of screenshots and character renders. You can have a look over on Andriasang. The title contains a “multi-scenario system,” and stories for three new students studying at the Koku Academy. Like previous entries in the series, school and character customization elements are present and it contains your standard, RPG map system. It’s due for release in Japan on PSP July 19.
