Elminage Original to be published by Ghostlight in Europe, out this summer
Ghostlight has announced it will be publishing Elminage Original, Starfish-SD’s first-person PSP dungeon crawler, in Europe and it will come with all the improvements made with the patch released in the US. The PSP game may even get a collector’s edition, and if it does, it will be made available in limited quantities and not in a “standard” edition. Elminage Original will be made available this summer. Summon Night 5 tops Media Create charts, hardware still down in Japan
Summon Night 5 debuted on the Media Create charts at number one in Japan, knocking Tomodachi Collection: New Life off it’s cushy spot for the time being. The Namco title moved 105,511 units on PSP. Hardware was down again this week. You can get both charts below.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life continues its streak on Media Create charts
There’s seems to be no stopping the beast that is Tomodachi Collection: New Life on the Media Create charts. Once again, the title was the number one seller in Japan for the week ending May 12. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Animal Crossing: New Leaf continued to be great sellers as well, the former earning life-to-date sales of 691,921 and the later now pushing
over 3.2 million copies across the region.

Sony’s biggest investor calls for division between Sony Entertainment and Sony Electronics
Daniel Loeb, CEO of Third Point, LLC, Sony’s largest investor which controls over $1.1 billion in shares, around 6.5%, wants the firm to split its Sony Entertainment business from Sony Electronics.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life tops Japan’s Media Create charts again
Tomodachi Collection: New Life was once again the top earner in Japan for the week ending May 5. Last weeks’ number one, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen fell to fourth place. Interestingly enough, there were no new releases for the period, yet sales of all hardware offerings were up over last week. Some not by much, but growth is growth.

God Eater 2 video shows over nine minutes of footage
God Eater 2, the sequel to PSP RPG Gods Eater Burst, has a new nine minute video available below, which was shown during the Nico Nico Super Conference. As Gemastu noted, it’s rather blurry, but you still get an idea of how the Boost Hammer and Charge Spear work. Game’s due in Japan on PSP and Vita later this year.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life sparks 3DS surge on Japanese charts
Tomodachi Collection: New Life was the big seller in Japan the week of Apr 15 -21. It moved 404,858 for 3DS, while Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 debuted in second with 87,661 units sold on PS3. 3DS LL sales were up over the prior period by 28,950 units.

US PS Store update delayed by extended maintenance
The North American PlayStation Store update has been delayed by extended PlayStation Network maintenance. Sony has been unable to provide an ETA on when the downtime will end and the update will go live. We’re not certain what’s being added in this week’s update beyond a couple of new releases and some PlayStation Plus goodies.
