There’s seems to be no stopping the beast that is Tomodachi Collection: New Life on the Media Create charts. Once again, the title was the number one seller in Japan for the week ending May 12. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Animal Crossing: New Leaf continued to be great sellers as well, the former earning life-to-date sales of 691,921 and the later now pushing
over 3.2 million copies across the region.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life was once again the top earner in Japan for the week ending May 5. Last weeks’ number one, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen fell to fourth place. Interestingly enough, there were no new releases for the period, yet sales of all hardware offerings were up over last week. Some not by much, but growth is growth.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life continued its dominance of the Media Create charts this week, moving another 144,903 units. Combined with last week when it moved 404,858 units during its debut, the title has moved 549,761 physical units in Japan.

God Eater 2, the sequel to PSP RPG Gods Eater Burst, has a new nine minute video available below, which was shown during the Nico Nico Super Conference. As Gemastu noted, it’s rather blurry, but you still get an idea of how the Boost Hammer and Charge Spear work. Game’s due in Japan on PSP and Vita later this year.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life was the big seller in Japan the week of Apr 15 -21. It moved 404,858 for 3DS, while Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 debuted in second with 87,661 units sold on PS3. 3DS LL sales were up over the prior period by 28,950 units.

The North American PlayStation Store update has been delayed by extended PlayStation Network maintenance. Sony has been unable to provide an ETA on when the downtime will end and the update will go live. We’re not certain what’s being added in this week’s update beyond a couple of new releases and some PlayStation Plus goodies.

GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA: Vice City Stories are both available on PSN now. Rockstar Games has released high resolution versions of the classic maps that came bundled with the PSP games at launch. They can be yours to print off and consult today.

It’s spring, and the season is synonymous with golf. Sony has revealed PlayStation Store sales charts for the US for March, showing some discrepancies between regions. In North America, MLB 13 the Show topped the PS3 charts, while Tomb Raider came in much lower than in international territories. As Kotaku points out, Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland topped the NA Vita despite having almost no marketing support, which is certainly interesting. Urban trial Freestyle was the Vita’s other big winner. You can check out the full North American charts below the break; PAL territory figures are also available.

NIS America has announced that Black Rock Shooter: The Game will be released on PSP through PSN later this month. As with the version released in Japan, western players will be able to explore ghostly ruins, come into contact with bizarre alien structures throughout a devastated Earth. BRS can be upgraded to make her superhuman abilities even more awesome, and completing missions will unlock new weapons, costumes, challenges, and other good things. Download the game through PSN in North America on April 23 and in Europe April 24.
