Gran Turismo 5 patch due February 7
Producer Kazunori Yamauchi has announced via Twitter , as translated by Andriasang, that the next title update for Gran Turismo 5 is due on February 7. No details have emerged regarding the patch, which will likely bring the racer to version 2.04. the PlayStation 3 exclusive launched in November 2010 and has continued to evolve through patches and DLC.

PSN accounts changing to Sony Entertainment Network
Sony has announced PlayStation Network accounts will be changed over to Sony Entertainment Network accounts via an update on February 8, a move which has been the works at the firm since September 1 of last year.

Worms: Ultimate Mayhem out on February 14
Team17′s announced it’ll release Worms: Ultimate Mayhem onto PSN on February 14. The title will be an ultimate compilation of content from Worms 3D and Worms 4, featuring 60 missions from both games, graphical enhancements and a new and improved camerawork.

Mass Effect 3 demo on 360 comes with temporary access to XBL Gold
Bioware has announced a deal with Microsoft which will allow Silver members of Xbox Live to try out the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer demo. According to a post on the Bioware forums, the demo will come with Gold access when you download the demo – but only for a limited time. The demo for Mass Effect 3 launches February 14 on PSN and XBL.

The Simpsons Arcade Game coming to XBLA tomorrow
Konami’s confirmed to Game Informer it’s to release The Simpsons Arcade Game onto Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow, February 2. This is probably why it was delayed for PS Plus members in the EU Store update yesterday. Also, if our memory is correct, this is the first time an XBLA game will launch outside its typical Wednesday slot. It’ll set you back 800 MS points or $9.99, and will feature four-player co-op, bonus content and even a Japanese version of the game that’s not been seen before.

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc HD remake hitting March 21
Ubisoft has announced Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc HD will be released on PSN and XBLA March 21. Announced back in November, the upgrade features new HD graphics, 15–20 hours of gameplay, extra content to unlock including nine stand-alone mini-games, achievements and worldwide online leaderboards. In addition, the game has been updated to run at 60 frames per second. A price was not provided at press time. Check out the trailer for the game below.

FFXIII-2 Lightning Coliseum DLC launching in Japan next week
Square Enix has announced it’ll release the second DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2s Coliseum mode on February 7 in Japan. The new content, which will cost ¥300 on PSN and 240 MS points on Xbox Live Marketplace, will see you fight against Lightning in her FFXIII Guardian Corps uniform, as well as her Corps partner Lt Amoda.
