PSN offering new game+DLC “Ultimate Edition” bundles at steep discount this week
The PlayStation Store has these “Ultimate Edition” bundles that give you a base game and all its DLC for a discounted price. This week, they’re putting out ten new Ultimate Editions, and they’re making them even cheaper than they normally would. Plus subscribers get a better discount, as usual. Full list inside.

Cloud’s horribly impractical sword has been created in the real world
In Final Fantasy VII, Cloud carries around like a really big sword. It’s as big as he is really, and I’ve often wondered how he could even hold the thing. Now, the guy who made a real-life version of the Minecraft diamond sword built this Buster sword, and it is completely ridiculous. Video inside.

City Interactive’s Alien Fear has had its name changed to Alien Rage
City Interactive has announced it has changed the name of its sci-fi, arcade-FPS Alien Fear – announced in 2012 – to Alien Rage. The game, which includes all sorts of weapons, firing modes, 21 enemy types and eight different bosses will be shown at E3 this year alongside its RPG Lords of the Fallen. Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A teaser video is below.

Mugen Souls hits PSN for PS3 next week
NIS America has announced Mugen Souls from Compile Heart will release on PSN for PS3 next week in North America. Mugen Souls contains several elements from the Disgaea series, including Disgaea artist Takehito Harada’s character art, as well as a soundtrack by Disgaea composer Tenpei Sato. A price wasn’t listed, and for those unfamiliar with the gameplay, head over to the US PS Blog and read up on it – or for those who have, it will refresh your memory.

Men’s Room Mayhem out next week on Vita, mobile devices
Men’s Room Mayhem, announced earlier this month for Vita, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices, will release next week on May 21 through the PS Store in the US and on May 22 in Europe. It will be made available worldwide on the App Store, Google Play Store and the Amazon Appstore May 23. On Vita, it will run you £1.99/€2.49/$1.99 and on mobile devices for £0.69/€0.89/$0.99. Thunder Wolves now on Steam, XBLA and PSN launch to be announced
BitComposer Games has announced Thunder Wolves, the arcade-style helicopter-shooter from Most Wanted Entertainment, is now available through Steam for $14.99. The versions for PSN and XBLA will be released “shortly” thereafter. The game contains plenty of action with explosions and destructible environments with nine helicopters with unique arsenals at the player’s disposal. Each of the 13 missions contain elements of either stealth, escorting, or seek-and-destroy. You can also enlist the help of a buddy through local cop-op. Check it out through the link.

US PS Store and Plus update, May 14: Jacob Jones, Manhunt, Metro: Last Light
Sony has updated the US end of the PS Store early today, with pre-orders for GRID 2 and Resident Evil: Revelations. Metro: Last Light is now available through PSN, along with Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny and DUST 514. Manhunt is now available as PS2 classic, and Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery is out on Vita. DLC for Skullgirls, God of War: Ascension, Uprising for Black Ops 2 and the Ranger mode for Metro: Last Light are also on the docket.
