PES 2013 will be available on PS2 and PSP on October 25 in Europe, according to Konami. The Wii version will be made available at retail on November 15 with a 3DS edition coming “shortly afterwards.” Thanks, CVG.

Namco Bandai’s SD Gundam G Generation Overworld for PSP was the clear winner at Japanese retail this week, with 209,815 units sold. Dead or Alive 5 for PS3, also new this week, came in second place with 66,586 units sold. The Xbox 360 version of the game came in 10th, moving 14,811 copies, bringing total sales of the game to 81,397 units. 3DS LL was on top again in hardware, moving 55,353 units, up from 35,206 the week prior.

FIFA 13 sales are up 42% year-over-year, with the game moving 353,000 copies on Xbox 360 and PS3 combined in the US,according to EA estimates.

Final Fantasy 3 for PSP and 3DS were the big winners on the Media Create charts in Japan, selling 44,872 and 61,382 units, respectively. We combined units sales of 3DS LL and 3DS there. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 debuted at number one on the Media Create charts in Japan, followed by 3DS title Medalot 7 Kabuto Ver. / Kuwaga Ver. knocking New Super Mario Bros. 2 to third. Pokemon Black 2 / White 2 may be in sixth place this week, but it’s getting closer to 3 million sales lifetime. 3DS LL and 3DS were still one and two on the hardware charts, with PS3 nestled in third followed by Vita.

Vita has bested 3DS on the Media Create charts this week with 50,070 units sold, thanks to the debut of SEGA’s rhythm game Hatsune Miku Project Diva f. The game stormed the software chart with 159,592 units sold. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers also debuted for 3DS this week, and the Atlus title moved 69,365 units.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, both remastered in HD, have landed on the EU PS Store today. We bet you’re pleased as punch over this. What you won’t be pleased over, though, is that Counter Strike: Global Offensive is still not available. Sony said it currently has “no new information to pass on,” regarding its absence. Ratchet & Clank: Gladiator – alias Deadlocked – will get the HD treatment and release via the PlayStation Network. Insomniac Games announced the latest of its re-releases at PAX Prime; the upscaled conversion of the 2005 title has been expected for some time now, as it was the only game in the series not included in the recent collection.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is still the reigning champion of Japanese games retail this week, as is 3DS LL. According to Media Create figures, the latest Mario title moved 68,547 units, bringing the grand total in the region to 981,144 lifetime. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings also debuted in Japan this week on Xbox 360, landing in the 19th spot with 4,924 units sold.

PES 2013 has a spiffy steelbook case which will be provided for free to those who pre-order at GameStop in the US or EB Games in Canada. The limited edition casing comes in two flavours – one features an “homage to the UEFA Champion’s League”, and the other has Copa Libertadores. I’d love to show you some photos but Konami’s asset mirror actually hates me. There’ll be a new PES 2013 demo this week ahead of the full game’s launch in September on PC and HD consoles, with portable, PS2 and Wii releases to follow.

Psychonauts will release for PS3 next week on August 28 as a PS2 Classic on PSN. Sony announced the good news this evening via the PS Blog. Psychonauts was Double Fine‘s first game, and it was released on PS2 in 2005.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is still tops on the Media Create charts this week, and has been since it was released has released in Japan on July 28. 3DS XL (LL in Japan) moved 66,412 units, sales of which are up 1,757 units week-over-week. Sales overall were a bit slow for the week, as there were no new game releases.
