Contra: Shattered Soldier coming to US PS Store this week
Side-scrolling PS2 classic Contra: Shattered Soldier will release in this week’s North American PlayStation Store update. According to the PlayStation Blog, two-player co-op has survived the port although it’s not clear whether there’ll be online support in addition to local play. Other new releases this week include Pirates: Legend of the Black Buccaneer and a demo for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F.

Malicious Rebirth releasing later this year on Vita
Alvion will release Malicious Rebirth on Vita later this year through the PS Store. According to the PS Blog, players can expect new levels, bosses and moves, and “almost twice as much content as its predecessor”. A hands-on demo of the title will be available at E3, at the SCEE booth. The game was confirmed for a North American and European release back in March.

Guacamelee! costume DLC pack comes with new trophies
Guacamelee! costume DLC shots are below. The packs come with three new costumes for Juan and Tostada, and six new trophies for $1.99. It will arrive on PSN later today through the usual PS Store update, and tomorrow in Europe.

SCEE has announced a bi-weekly indie sale starting June 5. Each of the following offers will run for two weeks and be replaced by another: Pid, (Was €9.99/£7.99, now €5.99/£4.79, additional 30% off for PS Plus members), Topatoi, (Was €9.99/£7.99, now €3.99/£3.19, additional 10% off for PS Plus members), and Zack Zero (Was €9.99/£7.99, now €2.99/£2.39, additional 25% off for PS Plus members). EU PS Store and Plus update, May 29 – Reckoning, Demon’s Souls, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus HD
Sony has updated the European end of the PS Store and Plus members are in for a treat this week with free downloads of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD, and Demon’s Souls. Elsewhere, you can grab Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance off the store, The Warriors from Rockstar as promised last week, and on May 31 Fuse will be available through the service. Diggs Nightcrawler, the Sony Wonderbook title, is also available today.

Men’s Room Mayhem out next week on Vita, mobile devices
Men’s Room Mayhem, announced earlier this month for Vita, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices, will release next week on May 21 through the PS Store in the US and on May 22 in Europe. It will be made available worldwide on the App Store, Google Play Store and the Amazon Appstore May 23. On Vita, it will run you £1.99/€2.49/$1.99 and on mobile devices for £0.69/€0.89/$0.99.
