Sony has updated the European end of the PS Store with Darkstalkers Resurrection, Mountain Crime: Requital, Atelier Ayesha and plenty more. There’s also demos on-hand for Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, Mountain Crime: Requital, Darkstalkers Resurrection and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. DLC for Dead Space 3, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Sound Shapes, and Sleeping Dogs are also available.

This week’s PlayStation Plus update awards a free copy of Joe Danger 2: The Movie to North American subscribers. It’s the second of a collection of free games coming in March. The rest of the update is all Ubisoft, all the time; there’s a discount on Scott Pilgrim’s new DLC as well as a bundle for first-time purchasers, and 50% off all Ubisoft sale items, which the plebs only save 30% on. You could buy MLB 13 The Show in a store if you wanted to, but Sony are making it available for download from the PlayStation Network on both PS3 and Vita. This is the first time The Show for PS3 has been made available in Europe, so that’s pretty exciting.

This coming month, US PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a handful of free games. The first is Yager’s Spec Ops: The Line, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but has some interesting aspects, especially if you finish the campaign There’s also Joe Danger 2: The Movie, from the UK’s Hello Games; strategy RPG Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention; the recently released Double Fine adventure The Cave; and Tekken 6 for PSP and Vita. This week’s US PlayStation Plus update offers a free copy of PopCap’s charming tower defence effort, Plants vs Zombies. That’s it for free content, but there are a number of hefty discounts. Retro/grade and its soundtrack are both available on the cheap, and Sony is discounting all winners of its annual Gamers’ Choice Awards, the results of which will be announced tomorrow. This week, US subscribers to PlayStation Plus will receive Platinum Games’ amazing shooter Vanquish for their Instant Collection. The notoriously fast-paced and difficult shooter is not for the faint-hearted but well worth the investment. PSP and Vita title Mega Man Maverick Hunter X will also be made available for free, as will a Starter Pack for DUST 514, the EVE Online tie-in MMOFPS. Members are also offered 20% off Urban Trial Freestyle on PlayStation 3 and Vita, although notably, it does not support cross-buy. Visit the PlayStation Blog for more details.

The PlayStation Blog is hosting a poll asking what kinds of games members would like to see added to the Instant Games Collection. A breakdown of content released to date shows action adventure and shooters dominating, and Sony wants to know if this is an appropriate mix or whether you want more variety in your games. The Instant Games Collection regularly adds PS3 and Vita titles which PlayStation Plus members can download at no extra charge, and play until they end their subscription.
