PlayStation Network maintenance to occur Monday, April 15
PlayStation Network will go offline on Monday, April 15 at 2.00pm UK for maintenance and won’t be brought back online until Tuesday, April 16 around 5.00am UK. The following services unavailable during this time: PS Store, console transactions, account management and registration, and the SEN website. Users will still be able to sign into PSN if they have done so within the previous five days. If you are signed in when the maintenance occurs, you will be able to remain connected. Thanks, CVG.

US PS Plus update – Demon’s Souls free with four more games this month
This month, North American subscribers can expect at least five games for free from PlayStation Plus. The headliner is definitely this week’s free title – Dark Souls sibling Demon’s Souls – but there’s also Malicious and Labyrinth Legends for PS3, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny for PSP and Vita, and Zombie Tycoon 2 for PS3 and Vita. As for this week, members will score discounts on The Walking Dead; Rainbow Moon; and Söldner-X.

AU PS Plus April content includes Okami, The Cave, and Thomas Was Alone
Sony Australia has highlighted PlayStation Plus content for the month of April; although we haven’t heard from the European or US teams yet, it’s likely there’ll be quite a lot of overlap. In any case, antipodean members will score Okami HD; Lord of the Rings: War in the North and The Cave from April 4. Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward joins the collection on April 11, and Thomas Was Alone arrives on April 25. On top of that, new and returning members who purchase a 12 month subscription will score an additional 90 days for free; it stacks on your current membership balance, too.

US PS Plus update offers Disgaea 3 Vita, Square Enix and THQ sales
In this week’s North American PlayStation Plus update, members receive a free copy of Vita port Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention. They also score a hefty 55% discount on selected Square Enix titles; various discounts on a range of THQ titles; and 55% off the Australian-made EscapeVektor for Vita, which was well-received on 3DS. Thomas Was Alone will run you £5.99, day-one 20-level DLC £1.99
You already knew Thomas Was Alone was part of April’s PS Plus content, but if you aren’t a PS Plus member and still want the game, here is how you can pick it up. Come April 24 the Cross-Buy title will land on the PS Store for £5.99 and you can also pick up the 20-level DLC for an additional £1.99. The game also comes with a new creator’s commentary, and the Vita version will allow users to select characters or control the camera using the touchscreens. The game is being brought to the systems via Bossa and Curve.

Joe Danger 2, Dead or Alive 5 and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection are already available for download to PS Plus members, but come April 3, lucky subs will be getting Okami HD, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, and The Cave.
