SimCity is getting a new expansion in November called Cities of Tomorrow, and today Maxis has released a blog detailing some of the neat, futuristic transportation options. You know, like monorails. It has also released a developer video, which you can view below. Cities of Tomorrow launched November 12.

A PR representative dropped us a line over the weekend to let us know that EA Maxis believes it has resolved installation issues with the OS-X version of SimCity. We haven’t tested it ourselves, and the FAQ on technical issues has not been updated. Everyone who owns SimCity on PC has free access to the newly-released Mac port, and the always-online title supports cross-save and cross-play.

The Humble Bundle website has moved onto its next big sale, but according to a Twitter update, the Origin bundle closed with over 2.1 million sales and $10.5 million in sales. Over 2.1 million bundles were purchased, and as EA declined all revenue, the majority will go to various charitable organisations after organisers deduct administration costs. The triple-A package broke Humble Bundle records.

The Humble Origin Bundle from EA has had to games added to it: Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 – Uprising and Populous. The games are in addition to Dead Space, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2: Maximumk Edition, Mirror’s Edge, Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor, Battlefield 3, and The Sims 3 Starter Pack. EA dropped a brief line this morning to let us know that SimCity will hit Mac on August 29, or August 30 in Australia. The OS-X version won’t be coming to retail, and will be available exclusively through Origin. It has cross-platform play and cloud saves, which is nice for those of us with both systems, and every PC owner will receive a free copy of the Mac version, too.

Gamers in India have created the Twitter hashtag #EAPCIndia to express their unhappiness with EA’s new price points for games being sold on Origin in the country. Games had been going for 1000-1500 rupees ($16.50-25), but Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: Rivals pre-orders are going for a whopping 3500 rupees ($58).
