Summon Night 5 tops Media Create charts, hardware still down in Japan
Summon Night 5 debuted on the Media Create charts at number one in Japan, knocking Tomodachi Collection: New Life off it’s cushy spot for the time being. The Namco title moved 105,511 units on PSP. Hardware was down again this week. You can get both charts below.

Nintendo Direct – Sonic: Lost World exclusive to Wii U, 3DS
Nintendo Direct sessions for North America and Europe contained quite a bit of interesting information on the firm’s upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles for summer. During the event, the biggest take away was when Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that the next three Sonic titles to be released from SEGA will be exclusive to Nintendo systems.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life continues its streak on Media Create charts
There’s seems to be no stopping the beast that is Tomodachi Collection: New Life on the Media Create charts. Once again, the title was the number one seller in Japan for the week ending May 12. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Animal Crossing: New Leaf continued to be great sellers as well, the former earning life-to-date sales of 691,921 and the later now pushing
over 3.2 million copies across the region.

Disney Infinity shots show off the Pirates of the Caribbean playset
Disney Infinity shots have been released showing off the Pirates of the Caribbean playset. A look at the the figurines is also below, each showing off a cartoonish version of Jack Sparrow. The Gobo developed playset comes with ready-made adventures and the assets can be used to create your own adventures in Toy Box mode. Disney Infinity is due in August on 3DS, PS3, Wii, Wii U and Xbox 360. A trailer for it can be watched here.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life was once again the top earner in Japan for the week ending May 5. Last weeks’ number one, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen fell to fourth place. Interestingly enough, there were no new releases for the period, yet sales of all hardware offerings were up over last week. Some not by much, but growth is growth.

Disney Infinity dev diary discusses creating the Toy Box
Disney Infinity has a new developer diary available in which Avalanche Software talks about the game’s Toy Box Mode and the inspirations behind it. It allows users to use the VR toys to create their own setting and story using the character toys they have purchased. It sounds really fun. Monster Hunter Tri servers on Wii shut down today
The Monster Hunter Tri servers on Wii will be shut down today. The closure was announced in January, so if you want to get in a quick multiplayer match you best be quick about it. The closure is in order to shift focus and resources over to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which launched on Wii U earlier this year. Thanks, Nintendo Life.

Mega Man 4, Rayman Legends Challenges Mode hit North American eShop
Offerings through Nintendo’s North American eShop this week are a bit slim, so we’ll just get right to it. The promised Challenges mode is available for Rayman Legends on Wii U; Mega Man 4 us available through 3DS Virtual Console; SENGOKU has hit Virtual Console on Wii, Crazy Construction is available for 3DS, and Color Commando can be yours on both DSi through DSiWare and on 3DS.
