Punch-Out!!, the first game in the classic Nintendo series to release on home consoles and known in the west under the title Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!!, is on the way to the 3DS eShop. Nintendo has it slated for a February 21 release for ¥500. It’s already available on the Wii Virtual Console, so we’ll probably see the 3DS version internationally, too.

Ubisoft has announced the original Prince of Persia is now available for download via Virtual Console on Wii and through eShop on 3DS. It can be yours for £4.50 from the Nintendo 3DS eShop and 800 Points from the Wii Virtual Console.

Nintendo has released a new set of downloadable games available through the use of US Club Nintendo coins. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask can be yours through Virtual Console for 150 coins; Dr. Mario Online Rx is available through WiiWare for 100 coins; Dr. Mario Express is 150 coins through DSiWare; and Kirby’s Dream Land can be yours for 100 coins through the 3DS Virtual Console. When it’s not refusing classification to anticipated titles, the Australian Classification Board delights in leaking like a sieve. Its latest effort has outed two new Ubisoft games, Prince of Persia for Wii and 3DS, and Rayman for 3DS. Joystiq theorises that the listings pertain to Virtual Console releases, hence the simple, days-of-yore titles, which match Game Boy Color releases.

Early adopters who remembered to register for Nintendo’s 3DS Ambassador scheme, introduced to compensate for a price cut in August, will finally see the Game Boy Advance portion of the promised goods this week. According to SpotPass notifications, as noted by ONM, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi’s Island, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Metroid Fusion, Wario Land 4 and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames will all be automatically added to player’s 3DS eShop profiles this Friday.

Siliconera reports Capcom has confirmed 16-bit era classics Street Fighter II and Strider will appear on both the European and US Wii Virtual Consoles.

Street Fighter II will benefit from a small modern upgrade, allowing for online versus play.

No local pricing or release dates have been announced. Both titles arrive on the Japanese VC in December, for ¥600.
