Indie house Eden Industries bringing Citizens of Earth to Wii U eShop
Nintendo is making an effort to reach out to indies these days, and another title has entered the Wii U fold. Or, rather, it will, a long time from now. In March 2014, Eden Industries will launch their quirky RPG Citizens of Earth in the Wii U eShop. Siliconera says it’s like Earthbound meets Little King’s Story. That is intriguing.

DuckTales Remastered, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara announced for summer
Capcom has announced at PAX East that DuckTales Remastered is in development from WayForward. The remake of the 1990 title will be released on eShop for Wii U, PSN and XBL this summer. A trailer is below. Also announced was Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara which comes with Tower of Doom and Shadow of Mystara – which was outed last week – for PC, PSN, Wii U eshop, and XBLA. It is out in June and will boast four-player drop-in/drop-out online co-op.

Toki Tori 2 hitting Wii U in April
Toki Tori 2 will be released on Wii U on April 4, Two Tribes has announced. The firm said the title is still in “the hands of Nintendo’s certification team,” and while normally a release date would be provided once it passed certification, the team said it is “confident it’ll pass in time.” Check out the new trailer for the game below.

Blood of the Werewolf from former EA and Activision devs announced for digital release
Scientifically Proven Entertainment has announced Blood of the Werewolf will be released through the eShop on Wii U. The action-platformer from former Activision and EA developers contains a dark atmosphere, with what Nintendo Life calls “punishing old-school gameplay”. It is also coming to PC, PSN and XBLA.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon head up NA Nintendo Downloads
This week marks the release of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity on the North American eShop. Well, technically the titles aren’t out until Sunday, March 24, but Nintendo has its own, special calendar, and has for years. While you will have to wait another couple days to get your hands on them, there are other titles available to pass the time with.

HarmoKnight hits eShop in Europe at end of March, demo out March 21
HarmoKnight will release in Europe for 3DS at the end of the month. The rhythm platformer from Pokémon developer GameFreak, currently has a demo available through the NA eShop, and the game will be released in both regions through the eShop on March 28. The demo will be made available in Europe on March 21 (thanks, Gamesta).

Fire Emblem Awakening first month sales were 180,000, eShop downloads hit 63,000
Fire Emblem Awakening sold 180,000 units at North American retail, Nintendo has confirmed to Joystiq, making it the best first month sales in the history of the franchise. NoA also told the site that eShop sales were 63,000 units, which made up 35% of total sales. The last entry in the series, Shadow Dragon, has moved over 250,000 units in North America to date.

SteamWorld Dig is the spiritual successor to Image & Form’s quirky download game SteamWorld: Tower Defense. The studio describes it as a “hardcore platform mining adventure”, and it’s out on the 3DS eShop later this year.

Zen Pinball 2 hits North American Wii U eShop next week
Zen Pinball 2 now has a solid North American release date on Wii U of March 21, having been delayed from an expected December launch. The eShop release is free and comes bundled with a couple of tables; the rest are offered as premium DLC, but all of them have free trials. Available tables include Zen Classics, Marvel characters and Plants vs Zombies. Check out a trailer through the break. Zen Pinball 2 is also available on PlayStation 3 and Vita.
