Japanese charts – Super Robot Wars Z outsells all, Vita moves 8,931 units
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart and Nacmo’s 2nd Super Robot Wars Z Saisei Volume bested all software offerings with 265,439 units moved for the debut. On the hardware side, 3DS continued to trump all, while Vita sales saw a major slump with only 8,931 units moved. Sales charts are below.

Japanese charts – Kingdom Hearts 3D and 3DS big winners
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance the software lot with 213,579 units moved, which gave 3DS another boost over last week with 121,921 units moved.

Japanese charts – Kid Icarus Uprising tops, provides 3DS with sales boost
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart and Kid Icarus Uprising bested another high profile Japanese debut, SEGA’s Yakuza Black Panther 2, by 27,589 units while also providing 3DS with a week-over-week sales boost of 30,000 units.

Japanese charts – Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition boosts older DS sales
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart and Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition scored the top spot topped it for DS with 172,027 units moved. On the hardware end, 3DS sales fell 4,934 units over last week but still maintained its number one position.

Japanese Charts – Tales of the Heroes, Harvest Moon 3DS Top the Charts
Media Create has released its weekly retail chart and Namco’s Tales of the Heroes Twin Brave topped it for PSP with 85,309 units sold. 3DS sale fell close to 20,000 units over the prior week, but it still manged to move 76,322 units.

Pokémon director teases upcoming announcement
Siliconera reports Pokémon director Junichi Masuda has hinted a new game announce may happen soon. Speaking to fans at a Q&A event, and later following up on Twitter, the developer said those keen to hear about ne games should watch Pokémon Smash, a weekly Japanese TV show. No announcement was made during Sunday’s episode. Despite Gamefreak’s protestations, several signs point at an upcoming Pokémon Gray followup to 2011′s Black and White, possibly for 3DS.

Nintendo has updated its eShop, DSiWare and Virtual Console offerings, and along with the previously reported availability of Hulu Plus, there’s also the highly-anticipated demo of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D available on 3DS this week. Also, SEGA Genesis fans might want to check out Strider through Wii’s Virtual Console today too, and the first Ambassador game for North America hits today with the release of Super Mario Bros. NES. Japanese charts – Suikoden and Gravity Daze tops for Sony portables
Suikoden and Gravity Daze were big sellers in Japan for the week ending February 12, according to the latest Media Create figures, and while the former provided PSP with a slight boost in sales over the week prior, the later didn’t help Vita sell any extra systems.
