Atlus has released a trailer for Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl, which shows some of Madhouse’s animated cutscenes. The game is a 3DS spin off due in Japan on June 27, and includes a remake of the 2007 DS release, Etrian Odyssey. Thanks, Gematsu.

Square Enix is holding a sale through its online store called April Savings Brings May Gaming where you can get 75% off select digital and boxed titles. The sale starts today and runs through May 2, and includes savings on titles such as: Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Dead Island, Final Fantasy 13-2, Hitman: Absolution, Risen 2: Dark Waters Special Edition, Sleeping Dogs and more. Offerings through Nintendo’s North American eShop this week are a bit slim, so we’ll just get right to it. The promised Challenges mode is available for Rayman Legends on Wii U; Mega Man 4 us available through 3DS Virtual Console; SENGOKU has hit Virtual Console on Wii, Crazy Construction is available for 3DS, and Color Commando can be yours on both DSi through DSiWare and on 3DS.

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has stated that the recently-revealed 3DS follow-up to A Link to the Past has been in development since 2011 and word has it the Japanese title has a 2 at the end, suggesting that it could be a proper sequel, rather than a spiritual successor.

Tomodachi Collection: New Life was the big seller in Japan the week of Apr 15 -21. It moved 404,858 for 3DS, while Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 debuted in second with 87,661 units sold on PS3. 3DS LL sales were up over the prior period by 28,950 units.

Shantae is a Game Boy Colour platformer that seems to have been re-released on every other Nintendo format so far. The 3DS is no different, as the game is getting a Virtual Console port this summer.

Nintendo has posted full-year profits of ¥7 billion for 2012, which is half of the company’s ¥14 billion projection. Regardless, this is an improvement over last year’s loss of ¥43.2 billion. The projection slump has been attributed to weak global sales of both Wii U and 3DS .

Nintendo has announced it plans to release an app in Japan for 3DS which will allow users capture screenshots from select game titles. Users can then share the screencaps through Tumblr and Twitter. The app will be available for Tomodachi Collection and Animal Crossing: New Leaf to start with, and likely other titles will be implemented should it take off. There’s no word just yet whether the app will head west or not. Thanks, GoNintendo.

High-street retailer GAME has become the first retailer in Europe to sell Nintendo’s eShop codes online and in stores. The retailer is selling a number of Wii U and 3DS titles through its website, with six Wii U titles ranging from Singstar at £32.99 to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and New Super Mario Bros. U for £41.99.

GAME has announced a partnerships with Nintendo in which eShop codes will be sold through the retailer online and in-store starting today. The agreement will allow GAME to be the exclusive retailer to sell the codes, which will be issued via till receipt for in-store purchases or email when purchased online. Once activated, codes can be entered into the Nintendo eShop through 3DS or Wii U. For customers in the UK, GAME is also offering an extra 25% trade-in value on selected game trade-ins against Nintendo eShop purchases in store.
