During its call to investors last night, EA mentioned more than once it was working on 11 “major titles” slated for release during its fiscal year 2014 which use its Frostbite 3 engine, including Battlefield 4. However, the firm isn’t planning on shipping any Star Wars title in FY14 and none of the releases using the new engine will be for Wii U.

Microsoft plans to reveal the “next chapter of Xbox gaming experiences,” at Gamescom in August, according to Xbox EMEA’s Graeme Boyd. This marks the return of MS at the Cologne event after skipping out in 2012. According to Boyd, “Xbox will be back at gamescom this August,” which means between the next-Xbox reveal on May 21, and E3 in June, there’s lots of Xbox news heading your way. Microsoft will stream its pre-E3 press conference, which takes place at the Galen Center on the University of Southern California campus Monday, June 10. Press invites started rolling out this afternoon, and while it’s not open to the public, Major Nelson will be giving away passes starting next week. Details on how to watch the proceedings will be announced next month. E3 takes place June 11-13.

Lords of the Fallen is the new RPG from Tomasz Gop, executive producer of the first two Witcher games while he was at CD Projekt RED. It’s heading to PS4, PC and Xbox 720 next year and German outfit Deck 13 is developing. It’s also meant to be hard, like Dark Souls.
