Microsoft is set to unveil its new Xbox console next week, but it is apparently saving some of its big software announcements for E3 as the console reveal is serving as foundation laying so to speak.

City Interactive’s Alien Fear has had its name changed to Alien Rage
City Interactive has announced it has changed the name of its sci-fi, arcade-FPS Alien Fear – announced in 2012 – to Alien Rage. The game, which includes all sorts of weapons, firing modes, 21 enemy types and eight different bosses will be shown at E3 this year alongside its RPG Lords of the Fallen. Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A teaser video is below.

Thunder Wolves now on Steam, XBLA and PSN launch to be announced
BitComposer Games has announced Thunder Wolves, the arcade-style helicopter-shooter from Most Wanted Entertainment, is now available through Steam for $14.99. The versions for PSN and XBLA will be released “shortly” thereafter. The game contains plenty of action with explosions and destructible environments with nine helicopters with unique arsenals at the player’s disposal. Each of the 13 missions contain elements of either stealth, escorting, or seek-and-destroy. You can also enlist the help of a buddy through local cop-op. Check it out through the link.

Twitch App for Xbox 360 goes live in the US for XBL Gold Members
The Twitch App for Xbox 360 will be made available today for Xbox Live Gold subscribers in the US. It will include the top 300 live channels and the ability to browse the directory by top channels, games and featured content. It is also Kinect-enabled, so you can use voice or motion controls. To download, just log into Xbox Live and download it.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Update 11 and its bug fixes enter certification
Minecraft Xbox 360 Update 11, which contains mainly bug fixes and the like, has gone into certification so it should be released sooner rather than later. The issues getting stomped by 4J Studios include explosion lag, messaging problems, spawn limit issue, and reduced Ghast sound volume. You can view the entire changelog over on OXM.
