City Interactive has announced it has changed the name of its sci-fi, arcade-FPS Alien Fear – announced in 2012 – to Alien Rage. The game, which includes all sorts of weapons, firing modes, 21 enemy types and eight different bosses will be shown at E3 this year alongside its RPG Lords of the Fallen. Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A teaser video is below.

In Ascend: Hand of Kul, formerly known as Ascend: New Gods, the deity you align yourself with will provide your character with specific abilities in which to dispatch of your enemies.The chaotic Goddess of Darkness, the “zealous” God of Light, or the “manipulative” Lord of the Void will each bestow upon the faithful various spells as well as abilities which can enhance your melee damage or reinforce your armor. Black Ops 2 players can earn double xp on weapon progression this weekend. The event starts today at 6pm GMT/10am PDT and runs through Monday until 6pm GMT/10am PDT on Monday. This corresponds with Uprising being available for PC and PS3. Go shoot something.

Major League Gaming’s Spring Season for Black Ops 2 is now in the second qualifying bracket with semifinals and finals airing tonight at 7pm ET. The winning team tonight will advance to the MLG Spring Championship from June 28-30 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, where hundreds of teams will compete for $50,000 in prizes and a first place prize of $20,000. Competitor, VIP and spectator passes for Black Ops 2 are available now, and fans can purchase a spectator pass online for $35 to attend the entire weekend, or upgrade to a VIP pass. BitComposer Games has announced Thunder Wolves, the arcade-style helicopter-shooter from Most Wanted Entertainment, is now available through Steam for $14.99. The versions for PSN and XBLA will be released “shortly” thereafter. The game contains plenty of action with explosions and destructible environments with nine helicopters with unique arsenals at the player’s disposal. Each of the 13 missions contain elements of either stealth, escorting, or seek-and-destroy. You can also enlist the help of a buddy through local cop-op. Check it out through the link.

The Red Son DLC which was a pre-order bonus for Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released as a purchasable pack through PSN and XBLA next week, according to the game’s Twitter account. The skins were also part of the special edition of the game released in the UK. No word on whether the skins will also come with the 20 bonus challenge missions or not, and a price wasn’t announced either. Check back for updates as more information becomes available. Watch Dogs’ Jonathan Morin has explained how the multiplayer will work in the game, without giving too much away on it. Essentially, players will always be in their “own session,” but it can be merged with others to where players will “intertwine.”
