Valve has announced you can now manage your library of games from any web browser through remote downloads on Steam. Available immediately with an active Steam client running on the remote PC or Mac, users can log into the Steam web site or mobile app to access and manage their library, downloading pre-loads, new releases, or latest purchases. Downloads will be installed on your system when you get home. Nifty. Head on over to Steam for more information.

Dear Esther has now launched on Mac following a previous release on PC. To celebrate the Apple release, which now comes with SteamPlay support, the game is half-off as part of Midweek Madness until tomorrow. You can pick it up for £3.49.

Rumor has it Apple has made a $112 million offer to LCD TV manufacturer Loewe AG. If true, the acquisition would pave the way for Apple to become even more omnipresent the electronics and tech departments. Develop’s calls to Loewe AG on the matter resulted in representatives for the firm hanging up when asked about the rumor.

GameInformer has a faction profile up for the Daggerfall Covenant, one of The Elder Scrolls Online’s three factions. According to game director Matt Firor, the alliance between the Orcs, Redguards and Bretons is more democratic than the other two factions, despite plenty of internal strife due to historical tensions. The Daggerfall Covenant is represented by a lion. The Elder Scrolls Online is expected to launch in 2013.

The lead programmer of Q Entertainment’s spiritual successor to Rez, Child of Eden, has released a new iOS game called Kotomon, a rhythm game that goes across most genres. Pick it up here for $2.99.

LucasArts has released Mac-compatable versions of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast onto Steam. Both games are 25% off to celebrate the move, with the BioWare RPG classic at £5.24 and Jedi Knight 2 the same price.

Although Blizzard wants to do a console release of Diablo III, it hasn’t actually started fiddling around with one, and isn’t even sure if it’s possible yet.

You’ll need good co-op buddies if you want to get the most out of Diablo III’s highest difficulty setting, and Blizzard is prepared to support your quest. The developer will introduce a player profile system on its forums, allowing you to check out each other’s equipment and achievements.
