Eternal Descent: Heavy Metal Heroes has launched on iTunes today. It’s a runner combat game based on Llexi Leon’s comic book series, and it features such artists as Andrew W.K., Wayne Static, Joe Satriani and Misha Mansoor of Periphery.

If you’ve been diving into The Walking Dead: 400 Days and are looking to experience some more Telltale “action,” as it were, then you’re in luck if you own an iDevice. Right now through tomorrow, July 7, you can get pretty much every episode of every Telltale game (Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Monkey Island, etc.) for $.99, and standalone games like Poker Night 2 are on sale as well. Limbo is heading to iOS next week, Playdead has announced. Owners of iPad, iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPhone 4S and higher, and the latest generation of iPod Touch can pick the platformer up on the App Store. Limbo will be available on July 3 for $4.99.

Zynga, who acquired OMGPOP last year, have confirmed that Draw Something 2 is now available in the US for iOS devices. The sequel will feature a live social feed, player’s own gallery, a Free Draw mode that allows players to draw whatever they desire and share it with friends, new drawing tools and many new words.
Thanks to Polygon, who report the news was initially announced by Zynga CEO Mark Pincus during an investor call. The game is already available on iOS in Sweden (where it costs 22 kronor) and Canada (CA$2.99).

EA has announced it will remove both Rock Band and Rock Band Reloaded from the App Store next week on July 31. Users can re-install purchases if synched to iCloud, and users will still be able to play the titles locally. The games are being pulled due to the licensing agreement with Harmonix ending. The classic Bungie Macintosh first-person-shooter Marathon 2: Durandal is now available for free on iOS. Any iOS device newer than an iPhone 3GS will be able to experience a true classic, and the predecessor to Halo.
You can pick up the game here. The game itself is free, but offers a few bonuses via in-app-purchase like HD textures. This isn’t just a slipshod port either. It offers GameCenter support as well as support for Joypad.
