Marathon 2 now available on iOS, free
The classic Bungie Macintosh first-person-shooter Marathon 2: Durandal is now available for free on iOS. Any iOS device newer than an iPhone 3GS will be able to experience a true classic, and the predecessor to Halo.
You can pick up the game here. The game itself is free, but offers a few bonuses via in-app-purchase like HD textures. This isn’t just a slipshod port either. It offers GameCenter support as well as support for Joypad.

Plants vs Zombies’ Crazy Dave releases hip hop song for charity
You might remember this video from way back in September. PopCap originally released this video during TGS for no apparent reason at all. Today we’re getting word that PopCap has made the song available for download on iTunes with all of the profits going to charity.
The charity involved is called Concern Worldwide and works to benefit some of the poorest places on Earth. If you’ve got £0.79/$0.99 to spare then head on over to iTunes to pick up a copy for a good cause. The music video is embedded after the break.
