Team Chaos: former Zynga Austin VP forms new studio
Team Chaos is the new development studio founded by former Zynga Austin vice president and general manager Andrew Busey. Paired up with Chaotic Moon Studios, Busey and his colleagues have formed Team Chaos, and the studio has debuted with free-to-play iOS card game Elements: Broken Lands. It’s out now.

Solitaire Blitz out now on iOS
PopCap’s latest release is not, alas, an expansion to Plants vs Zombies, but instead a new take on Solitaire using the publisher’s now-famous Blitz formula. Having already attracted a large following on Facebook and launched via the App Store today, Solitaire Blitz is free, and available on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It gives players 60 seconds to clear decks and also go on an “underwater adventure”. Somehow.

Real Racing 3: “vocal minority” lashed out at micro-payments, EA believes “the market has spoken”
Real Racing 3 has done big numbers since it launched, according to an infographic from publisher EA. You can see it here. Now, vice president of EA’s mobile and social studios Nick Earl has stated that the “market has spoken” and that only the “vocal minority” took issue with the game’s micro-payments to begin with.

Apple to settle in-app purchase lawsuit
Apple has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit dating back to 2011 over minors accessing in-app purchases unbeknownst to their parents. According to a report on Engadget, Apple could pay out $5 vouchers to 23 million customers, and where the amount claimed is $30 or more, must offer cash refunds. The full settlement can be viewed on Scribd.
