Battlefield 3: Aftershock released for free on iPhone
A free iOS title called Battlefield 3: Aftershock has been released for iPhone and iPad by EA. It acts as “cross-promotional” release for Battlefield 3 and the feature film Act of Valor. It contains online multiplayer and three weapons, but is missing the previously promised single-player campaign and enemy wave mode. Watching a trailer for Act of Valor will unlock a weapon, and ads for the movie featured in the game are what makes it a free title. According to Shack and Touch Arcade, user reviews state the App contains some glitches and issues with controls, but hopefully an update is on the way. Those who wish to try it out anyway, will need an iPhone 3GS or higher with iOS 4.0 or later installed.
