Back to the Future gets first episode free for iPad, later eps on sale

Telltale’s offering the first episode of Back to the Future: The Game for free for iPad. Subsequent episodes are also being offered for $2.99. Both the free offering and discount for further episodes are for a limited time only, however, so get to it.

Eufloria HD now available on iPad

Eufloria HD is now available on iPad. The upgraded port of Omni Systems’ lovely RTS debuted n eighth place on the iPad chats, and was listed as Apple’s iPad Game of the Week. In addition to the features and content included in the original PSN release, Efloria HD contains a 25-level campaign, multiple gameplay modes, and Game Center achievements with a touch screen-optimized interface. To celebrate, a fre Valentines Day update has gone live for the 5th Cell puzzler, where you’ll get a Valentines-themed playground level that will encourage players to create Valentines-themed inspirations.

Ghost Trick getting iOS launch tomorrow

Capcom is set to launch an iOS version of popular DS title Ghost Trick tomorrow, according to an iTunes listing, as spotted by Videogamer. Those who download the game, made by Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi, get chapters 1 and 2 free, with the rest being downloadable in-app. More details here.

The first episode, called Ice Station Santa, will set you back $7, but is universal, meaning it will support iPhone and iPad. Eufloria coming to iPad next month

Eufloria, the PS3 title that launched last month, will come to iPad in February, developer Omni Systems has said. The iOS version will be “the most comprehensive and enjoyable release of Eufloria to date,” with an optimised interface for the touch screen, new music tracks and “a whole raft of additional tweaks and features.”

Temple Run back on top after F2P conversion

App Store flavour du jour Temple Run has quadrupled its revenue since going free to play, developer Imangi revealed to Gamasutra. The 99 cent app hit the top of the charts on release but then stymied, so Imangi took it free to play in September, one month after launch. Temple Run has now been downloaded over 20 million times, is totting up more at a rate of 500,000 per day, and has 7 million daily average users. The game is now in top spot on the charts once more, with revenue and users growing daily.

Flip Flop Games to bring sick kids’ ideas to life

Next time you’re browsing the App Store, check out the work of Flip Flop Games. This iOS developer is a one-man show, and the man in question is an 11 year old. But wait! It gets better. Develop reports creator Conner Haines has launched a scheme called BElieve to make games based on ideas submitted by children with cancer, and donate all the proceeds to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Haines works in Game Salad, and expects to turn submissions into working titles within a few months of receipt. His major personal project, Take Me Back, is due in 2013.
