UFC on Xbox 360 delayed to December 20
Microsoft has announced that the UFC App on Xbox 360 has been delayed. The pay-per-view on-demand video content was originally slated for release tonight, but will instead be made available on December 20, which will features a match-up between Lesnar and Overeem. The next match on the docket is December 10, and is between Jones and Machida. No word on why the App was canceled last minute was provided at press time. Thanks, Shack.

Verizon FiOS for Xbox 360 will cost $90 a month, comes with a year of XBL Gold, Halo Anniversary
Verizon has announced its US high-speed internet cable TV service FiOS will contain 26 channels when it launches through Xbox 360. As previously reported, in order to access Verizon’s service or any other TV offerings coming to the console, an Xbox Live Gold membership will be required. The service will be compatible with Kinect, and new customers can sign up for $89.99 per month which comes with a 12-month XBL Gold package and a copy of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Ofcom to investigate ITV-ArmA documentary mix-up
Media Regulator Ofcom is to investigate UK broadcaster ITV after it mistakenly aired footage of Bohemia Interactive’s ArmA 2 as real-life footage of the IRA shooting down a helicopter with weapons provided by now-deposed Libyan leader Colonel Gadaffi. The footage was aired as part of the first episode of real-affairs show Exposure: Gadaffi and the IRA last month. ITV had said at the time it blamed “human error” for the gaffe, but apologised nonetheless. Ofcom’s now kicked off its investigation to see if ITV was in breach of the body’s broadcasting code.

Rabbids animated series to air in 2013
Ubisoft’s announced this morning a deal with Nickelodeon to bring an animated TV series based on Rabbids. 26 half-hour long episodes will begin airing from 2013 on the channel across the world except France, with Ubisoft’s Motion Pictures studio working with the publisher’s French studios on the show. The Rabbid characters were introduced in 2006 as part of Rayman spin-off, Rayman: Raving Rabbids.

ITV mistakes ARMA 2 as ‘Secret IRA Terrorism Footage’
An ITV documentary which aired in the UK on September 26 – and looked into claims that the deposed autocratic ruler of Libya, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, supported the IRA – was found to contain footage of a helicopter being shot down from a video game instead of actual, raw footage of the event in question.

Verizon comments on FiOS TV for 360 rumor
Verizon’s director of media relations, Bobbi Henson, has commented on yesterday’s rumor that Microsoft, Comcast and Verizon were ironing out a deal which would see Xbox 360 being turned into a cable box of sorts. While Henson wouldn’t say whether or not the rumor was true, she did say to “stay tuned for the future.”

Uncharted 3 TV spot debuts tonight during the 2011 NFL Kickoff game
As if the lovely sand art video for Uncharted 3 wasn’t enough for you today, Sony has released the TV spot for the game, which you can view below the beak. The advertising campaign kick offs tonight, so those in the US should start seeing this commercial on the soon. The debut of it will occur during the 2011 NFL Kickoff game tonight between the Packers and Saints. Uncharted 3 is out November 1.

Spike introducing Uncharted 3-based reality TV special
Spike TV’s announced it’s to air a reality TV special based on Uncharted 3. Known as Uncharted 3: Race to the Ring, casting calls have now began, with those applying being asked to be available for the week of October 3, a month before the game launches. New BBC iPlayer launches for PS3
BBC’s announced this morning that its release an all-new version of BBC iPlayer for TVs. The new version is “specifically designed” for the living room TV. It comes with a new design, an improved search and the ability to add favorites. V3 of iPlayer is now available on PS3, with it coming to other “many more TV screens in the coming months.”
