20130501_the_lebrons

A second season of animation The Lebrons will air as an Xbox Live exclusive. Shack News reports the cartoon returns on May 10, with new episodes weekly; check out a trailer on MSN. This on its own is not such earth-shattering news but it is indicative of Microsoft’s push to turn its platform into something like a cable box as well as games console; did you see the rumour that it’s trying to bring back Heroes?

Xbox Original hopes to bring back Heroes – rumour

20130418_heroes

Cancelled superhero TV series Heroes may yet get a second lease on life. TVLines cites anonymous sources for word that MSN is in preliminary talks with NBC to develop a new version of the show for Xbox Originals, with all new stories and characters but cameos from the original cast. Microsoft certainly seems to be making a major push to turn the Xbox 360 – and likely its successor – into something like a cable box.

Bethesda registers trademark with USPTO for “apocalyptic television program” – Fallout?

fallout nv

Bethesda has registered a trademark with the USPTO for “an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.” Fallout anyone? Note the word in the link there. The registration comes just a week after ThreeDog voice actor Erik Todd Dellums tweeted there may be more “of the Dog coming,” tweeting later he was “given permission to release that tease, so fingers crossed.” Speculation started running all over the place that a movie adaption was set for an announcement, or that Fallout 4 is in the works. Continue to speculate. Thanks, Eurogamer.
