Golden Joysticks at 2.00pm GMT today, streaming video confirmed
Future’s Golden Joystick awards kick off in London at 2.00pm today, and it sounds as though the publisher’s got its act together in terms of covering the event live.
Streaming video’s promised, as are a live-blog and photographs from the show.

Golden Joysticks 2008 gets more than 640,000 votes
According to this GamesRadar story, this year’s Golden Joysticks have now been voted on more than 640,000 times.
If you haven’t voted yet, you may as well. It’s clearly the new black.

Frankie Boyle to host Golden Joysticks
Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle, will host its upcoming Golden Joysticks, taking place on October 31 at the Park Lane Hilton in London.
“This year’s Golden Joystick Awards are shaping up to be the best yet, thanks to the support of our sponsor Virgin Media and Frankie Boyle signing up as host,” said event boss Emma Parkinson.
“The industry has always seen the Joysticks as a focal point of its calendar and long may this continue. Increasingly, it has become a focal point for mainstream press attention and a celebration of the games industry. As we aim for a million votes, we need the help of your fans and customers’ make the wider world proud of our industry.”

Edge unveils new Most Wanted Golden Joystick
Edge is to give out a Most Wanted Golden Joystick at the Future awards this year, designed to let people voted for their most anticipated game. Obviously.
