Explore the world of FireFall in latest developer video
Red 5 has released a developer diary for FireFall. The main subject of the video is world building, and how it promotes and expanded sense of exploration. Areas in the game designed for PvP will also allow PvE interaction and what would any MMO be without the ability to gather items to be used as resources? One missing out on something, surely. What looks really cool to us the ability to explore to your heart’s content on a vehicle. See for yourself below, courtesy of IGN’s YouTube channel. The game is currently in beta, and more users are to be let in before it ceases in preparation for launch later this year.

Witcher 2 Dark Edition sold out in UK, install the game on 360 hard drive
The pre-order version of the Dark Edition for The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition on 360, exclusive GAME, has sold out, according to Namco.
Good news for GAME, there. Meanwhile, CD Projekt has said it recommends folks buying the RPG for the console install the game on their hard drives
in order to avoid performance issues.

Sony “removed” PSN barriers for Dust 514
CCP has said that Sony didn’t just “relax” its PSN policies so Dust 514 would work on PS3, it removed” them entirely so the free-to-play title could launch and update without any barriers.

Lord of the Rings and DDO demos coming to Gaikai
Gaikai has announced an agreement with Warner Bros. which incorporates playable, browser-based game demos for the Lord of the Rings Online as well as Dungeons & Dragons Online which will be the first MMOs to surface on the streaming service.

Changes made to Civilization V with Gods and Kings expansion were community-driven
Ed Beach, lead designer on Civilization V and its expansion Gods and Kings, has told Joystiq the team made three changes to the game based on community feedback: AI no longer holds grudges; religion, diplomacy and combat were added or overhauled; and the combat tech tree doesn’t contain “dead ends” anymore.
