From Software’s head of R&D, Masanori Takeuchi, has said the studio is well aware of the desire for a PC release of Dark Souls, but ultimately, the decision is entirely Namco’s.

Dan Pinchbeck, creative director at thechineseroom said during his lecture at GDC that when developing Dear Esther, the team found that when you over stimulate the player with a buoyant atmosphere, it can cause over stimulation and “kill” the atmosphere.

Hitman Absolution crowd tech demo shown at GDC
A video showing IO Interactive’s G2-Crowd Technology used in Hitman Absolution has been released. The tech is a new feature of IO’s Glacier 2 engine, built from the ground up and allows very dense crowds to appear in the game – players will also be able to interact and influence the behavior the crowds.
