GDC Europe 2013 session submission up 25%, 275 talks being considered

GDC Europe organizers have announced the 2013 show will has had 275 talks submitted for the event, which is up 25% on last year’s total. While the first lectures will be announced later this week, those wishing to attend should know that registration is now open. GDC Europe takes place August 19-21 in Cologne, Germany – just ahead of Gamescom which takes place August 21- 25.

Microsoft plans to reveal the “next chapter of Xbox gaming experiences,” at Gamescom in August, according to Xbox EMEA’s Graeme Boyd. This marks the return of MS at the Cologne event after skipping out in 2012. According to Boyd, “Xbox will be back at gamescom this August,” which means between the next-Xbox reveal on May 21, and E3 in June, there’s lots of Xbox news heading your way. The Elder Scrolls Online will be playable at Gamescom in August, ZeniMax Online has announced. It’s presence will allow “thousands” the opportunity to play the MMO at Bethesda’s booth. Nintendo returning to gamescom 2013, more devs announced

Nintendo will make its gamescom return this year after skipping 2012′s show. The show’s organisers have posted an initial list of developers and publishers who will be exhibiting at this year’s event, kicking off August 21st- 25th.

Gamescom 2013: limited ‘Wildcard’ passes go on sale next week

Gamescom 2013 is kicking off August 21st- 25th, and this year the show organisers are letting a few public attendees into the public halls during the press day on Wednesday 21st. Entry requires a limited ‘Wild Card’ pass, which will go on sale next week.
