Eurogamer Expo: Mirror’s Edge playtest

mirrorsedgea4ee.jpg

If there’s one game that appears to be taking over the Eurogamer Expo showfloor here in London today, it’s Mirror’s Edge. You can’t miss it, what with its motion-sick graphics and gaudy colour pallete. And the fact it’s the first thing you see when you come through the door.

The code here’s a one-level demo in single-player. Get full impressions after the link.

Eurogamer Expo completely sold out

egexpoheader2.jpg

Eurogamer Network boss Rupert Loman’s just told us that the Eurogamer Expo is now completely sold out. If you don’t already have a ticket for either today or tomorrow, you’re not going to get in.

Thousands of people are queuing for the event, which kicked off an hour ago at the Truman Brewery on London’s Brick Lane.

They weren’t fucking about: all the games listed are on the showfloor. Resident Evil 5, Mirror’s Edge, Gears of War 2, Dawn of War II, Street Fighter IV and tons of others are all playable, but it’s already looking as though queueing’s going to get a bit bonkers later on.

If you’re at the show and you fancy a coffee, Mike and I are in the press room upstairs in the GamesIndustry.biz career fair. I’m the one with the beard and tattoo. Mike’s the one typing up the Resident Evil 5 playtest like it’s serious business.

Photos here. Watch for updates throughout the day.

Eurogamer Expo 2008 is tomorrow – everything you need to know

eurogamerexpo081.jpg

We’re going to the inaugural Eurogamer Expo tomorrow, and so should you. Eurogamer’s put up a large preview article on the London show, listing everything you can expect to see, including a map and a full list of games on display on the third page.

Tickets are only £5 and all proceeds go to charity. There’s a hell of a lot of code on show from the look of it, so take a look.

The show takes place tomorrow and Wednesday at the Old Truman Brewery in London. Check out the Eurogamer Expo website for details on ticket availability and how to get there

Both Mike and I will be there all day tomorrow, so watch the site for updates. We’re even open to hand-shaking, if that’s something that floats your boat.

Eurogamer Expo to show PoP, Mirror’s Edge, LBP, Tomb Raider Underworld, Far Cry 2 and more

eurogamerexpo08.jpg
