EA’s apologised over its “Sin to Win” Dante’s Inferno Comic Con competition, saying the contest’s T&C wording had caused “confusion and offense”.

The contest asked convention attendees to commit “an act of lust” with an EA booth babe and take a picture for proof. A “Night of Lust” was promised for the winner.

While only a “special” person would actually read this as doing something illegal, some people got pissed off.

“‘Commit acts of lust’ is simply a tongue-in-cheek way to say take pictures with costumed reps,” said the publisher.

“Also, a ‘Night of Lust’ means only that the winner will receive a chaperoned VIP night on the town with the Dante’s Inferno reps, all expenses paid, as well as other prizes.”

Shame on you, EA. Shame.

More dripping from Comic Con over the weekend. Army of Two: The 40th Day creative director Alex Hutchinson confirmed that the game is to feature expanded multiplayer modes over the original at the event, saying it’ll allow more than four players to get busy online.

The shooter will feature a “fully client/server” connection, with “many more modes and more people allowed to play.”

The original had three multiplayer modes and up to four players allowed.

Hit Kotaku for more. The game’s out later this year for 360 and PS3.

LittleBigPlanet may get a set of Marvel superhero sackboys, according to Kotaku.

Details are a little uncertain from the look of that piece, but three concept renders were shown at Comic Con over the weekend of Iron Man, Wolverine and Captain America in sack-form.

No date, or anything. Take a look.

Platinum Games revealed during a Comic-Con panel yesterday that the team does not plan on releasing DLC for Bayonetta.

Reason being: “The game ships with everything you want,” it was said.

This has been hinted at before, but now it appears to be solidified.

During a Capcom panel at Comic-Con, Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata was asked if Albert Wesker would appear in more Resident Evil games considering Resident Evil 5 left you wondering for some reason.

Apparently, the answer is no.

“Even if you want Albert Wesker to come back there is no chance of that happening,” Kawata told the audience, reports Siliconera.

So after appearing in the original, Code Veronica, Zero, RE4 and RE5 (Darkside Chronicles technically doesn’t count) Wesker is no more.

But if there is one thing we have learned playing different videogames over the years, it’s that you can’t keep a good series villain down for long.

Right Ganon/Ganondorf?

Apparently, EA is taking misogyny to a new level at Comic-Con this year, basically begging people to sexually harass the booth babes.

According toArstechnica, if you commit “an act of lust” with an EA booth babe and take a picture, you could win dinner with said babes, as well as Dante’s Inferno prizes, a limo ride and faux paparazzi shots.

Seriously all you have to do is take a picture, but we can only imagine the sorts who will use this as an excuse to rub the thighs of these gals with the “pen” in their pocket.

Sega’s giving Comic Con attendees the chance to win a limited edition Bayonetta 360 this week, as you can see on Sega’s blog.

James Cameron said at Comic Con yesterday that the first Avatar game trailer will release on August 21.

The footage will coincide with a 15-minute movie trailer airing at IMAX “theaters” in the US.

Both game and film hit this December, courtesy of Ubisoft.

Gamespot’s posted up details from yesterday’s Halo Legends panel at Comic Con, revealing the multi-part anime as a plot centred aroudn the story of multiple Spartans.

The lot:

• Legends will explore the stories of many other Spartan soldiers besides Master Chief, including at least one female Spartan.
• They haven’t finished casting yet, which is why they haven’t talked about actors involved.
• Sergeant Johnson won’t be featured in any significant way.
• At least one episode will delve very deeply into the history of the Covenant.
• A lot of the settings in the anime are directly inspired by the series’ multiplayer maps.
• The episode by Casio Entertainment will be purely CG rather than hand-drawn.
• Every episode will be considered canon except for Toei’s, which O’Connor said “are fun” rather than official fiction.

Looks lovely, innit. It’s out next year, with Live previews this autumn. Both digital and disc releases are confirmed at the end of the movie.

A video for Tatsunoko Vs Capcom has been released out of Comic-Con along with some pretty pictures.

The Wii game video posted after the break shows Viewtiful Joe fighting it out, and it looks rather decent. Supposedly, it’s out this winter in the US sometime, with the UK date to be announced.

Also, Mad Catz stopped by the Capcom booth at Comic-Con with a non-playable Fight Stick with artwork from the game plastered on it.

Apparently, the company is wanting feedback on it, so head on over to Capcom Unity and give your opinion on the matter. We know you have one.
