Diablo III playable at BlizzCon
According to this Joystiq story, event literature has shown that Diablo III is to be playable at BlizzCon 08, starting today in California.
Which is a very nice surprise if you managed to get yourself a ticket to the event. Let us know what it’s like, please.

BlizzCon starts Friday, in case you’d forgotten
Blizzard’s sent out a gentle reminder that BlizzCon starts this Friday, so expect plenty of Blizzard-related news this weekend.
“With more hall space, more attendees, and more attractions, this BlizzCon will be our biggest yet,” said Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime.
“We’re working hard with our partners to make this an unforgettable experience, and we’re looking forward to meeting players at the show.”
The California event’s completely sold out, so don’t get any fancy ideas. Press release after the break.

Blizzard puts 3,000 more BlizzCon tickets on sale
Following a fairly shambolic sales period of BlizzCon 2008 tickets, company boss Mike Morhaime’s made a public apology for the fact the official site exploded and all the tickets sold out faster than a small cheese pile at a rat convention, and made grace by putting another 3,000 tickets on sale.
Anyone thinking about picking up one of the new tickets should know that the offer is only open to those with an active Blizzard Account as of 9.00pm PST on August 12, the time Blizzard first posted its “Sold Out” notice.

BlizzCon panels revealed
Blizzard’s posted a list of all the BlizzCon panels for this year, and those lucky enough to get a ticket can look forward to seminars in Diablo III class design, StarCraft Lore and plenty more.
Lots of good stuff there. The event takes place on October 10-11 at the Aneheim Convention Center in California.

BlizzCon actually sold out
In case you’ve missed the 4,500 stories on WoW sites in the last 24 hours related to BlizzCon ticket sales, lose sleep no longer: all seats are completely gone.
So many people tried to get them simultaneously the official site was up and down more times than a nun’s knickers at a priests’ piss-up.

BlizzCon 08 to be televised in America
Missed this n the rush yesterday. Blizzard’s announced that BlizzCon 08 is to be televised in the States, thanks to a partnership with pay per view channel DIRECTV.
Tickets have already gone on sale for the event taking place at the Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, California on October 10 and 11.
“BlizzCon is one of the most highly anticipated gaming conventions of the year, and we are excited to partner with Blizzard Entertainment to deliver coverage of the show to gamers nationwide,” said DIRECTV’s Steven Roberts.
“With our BlizzCon pay per view package, members of Blizzard’s gaming communities who are not attending the event can now experience it in crystal-clear HD.”

BlizzCon tickets going on sale in August
Blizzard sent word today that BlizzCon tickets are to go on sale on August 11.
BlizzCon 2008 will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, CA, October 10-11. Tickets will cost $100.
“We have an entertaining show planned, and we look forward to delivering another memorable experience for our attendees,” said Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime.
