Atari’s E.T. cartridge graveyard to be excavated by Canadian developer Fuel Industries
Fuel Industries, a Canadian game developer, has been given a permit from the city of Alamogordo, New Mexico, to excavate the landfill where Atari reportedly buried many, many copies of E.T. and other broken or unsalable merchandise back in 1983.

Harmonix servers back online
Harmonix has reinstated its RockBand.com, DanceCentral.com and HarmonixMusic.com servers following last weekend’s hack. You should now be able to log in and change your passwords. Halo 4 Didact figure includes bonus DLC
McFarlane toys will release a 9″ figure of the Didact, Halo 4′s villain, in September. GameInformer reports the oversized-foe comes with a bundled code to unlock exclusive content in the Xbox 360 exclusive, but there’s no word on what kind of material it provides. However, if you need something to put the fear into your GI Joes, this seems a safe bet.

Get this Skyrim Dragonborn statuette for a mere $300
Gaming Heads have created a 16-inch statuette of one possible version of the Dragonborn protagonist from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It costs $300 for the standard edition, limited to 1000 copies, and $330 for one with a fireball in his hands that lights up, limited to 500 copies. These will ship late this year. Assassin’s Creed figures inbound from McFarlane Toys
Assassin’s Creed is to spawn a line of seven action figures thanks to a licensing deal with McFarlane Toys. Two figures have been announced so far – Haytham Kenway and Connor. Connor’s figure will come in two forms – a traditional Assassin’s garb and his Ratonhnhaké:ton outfit from the upcoming Tyranny of King George DLC. Each will stand about six inches tal with 25 points of articulation, and come with a code for exclusive Assassin’s Creed DLC. The figures will debut at the International Toy Fair show, which runs February 10-13 in New York. Expect them in stores in Australia, Canada, Mexico, new Zealand, South America and the US, for approximately $15-$17.

The Secret World licensed clothing now available
The Secret World developer Funcom has teamed up with We Love Fine to offer a range of licensed merchandise. The current catalog includes messenger bags, shirts and a hoodie, branded with logos representing organisations and locations, with more to come soon. The shirts are only available in men’s cuts right now, which is handy because if I buy another t-shirt a black hole will open in my wardrobe. Also, VG247′s chosen faction, the Templar, is mysteriously under-represented. I call shenanigans, Illuminati.

Bejeweled, Bejeweled Blitz getting the board game treatment
PopCap and Hasbro have teamed up to turn Bejeweled and Bejeweled Blitz into face-to-face games. Polygon reports Bejeweled will task players with matching tiles and come with a download code for Bejeweled 3, while Bejeweled Blitz requires the rapid creation of card stacks and comes with free in-app items for the Facebook game. It’s not the weirdest board game the industry has produced; have you seen Words with Friends? Ha ha, gosh.

Gears of War, Infinity Blade, Fortnite swag available direct from Epic
Epic has opened a new online storefront, shilling its wares directly to the public. Gears of War, Bulletstorm, Jazz Jackrabbit, Infinity Blade and the upcoming Fortnite are all represented, and as well as your favourite properties, there’s also Unreal Engine and general Epic studio-branded gear. Available merchandise includes t-shirts and hoodies (none in women’s fits, unfortunately), artwork and pre-orders for an upcoming coffee mug. Epic isn’t the first to open a storefront of this kind; Ubisoft and BioWare both front similar initiatives, for example.
