GTA 5 has not been confirmed for PC, and the possible future port has not – repeat, not – been leaked to torrent sites. The 18GB “GTA 5 Full PC Game + Crack” package doing the rounds merely sends the user to a scam site and attempts to rip them off; it’s quite probable the files in the pack are fraught with viruses and other nasties, too. According to WCCF Tech, “thousands” of hopeful gamers have downloaded the file already. Don’t join them.

Our own Gekidami received an email from Insomniac Games advising of a breach on the Fuse, Resistance and Ratchet & Clank developer’s forum software. The developer says it is “possible” information such as email, username, date of birth, Facebook profile and more were accessed, although it can’t be certain. Passwords were encrypted and have not been compromised, but Insomniac has suggested users change them anyway. The developer has since closed the exploit responsible for the breach.

Although the information obtained by the hackers was encrypted, Riot Games has confirmed that a recent League of Legends security breach got as far as credit card details.

Konami has reported that 35,000 unauthorised log-ins attempts to the Konami ID portal have occurred due to Pro Evo user ID and passwords being leaked. The firm said nearly four million attempts were made by a third-party user. The names, addresses, dates of birth, telephone numbers and email addresses were accessed, therefore all Konami ID users will need to change their passwords. All those affected should have received an email on the matter. Konami has since strengthened security and raised the monitoring level. Thanks, Eurogamer.

Microsoft is said to have given the US National Security Agency access to its users’ Skype calls, Outlook emails and SkyDrive contents for the past three years. A new report based on leaked documents suggests that the company offered the data as part of a US government surveillance initiative called Prism.
