Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut for PS3 most pre-ordered game for Rising Star
Rising Star Games has announced that Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut for PS3 is its most pre-ordered game to-date. According to a statement given to MCV, the horror title’s pre-order number exceeded those of the Xbox 360 version tenfold. “The game has easily surpassed our expectations for day one orders,” said product marketing manager Yen Hau. “It further demonstrates that the cult status we built up for the game two years ago is still going strong and I’m absolutely overjoyed that PS3 owners can finally experience this gaming gem.” Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut released earlier this week in North America and is out today in the UK.

Rising Star has confirmed an April 30 US release date for Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut. The PlayStation 3 port includes improved controls, polished visuals, extra content and DLC support. Pre-ordering from participating retailers will result in some fancy downloadable bonuses. The Access Games classic arrives in Europe on April 26.

The Sword of Hope II, Shifting World hitting 3DS in Europe
The Sword of Hope II will release in Europe via Nintendo’s 3DS Virtual Console next week August 9 for £2.70/€3.00. It was released in the US on July 12. In September, Rising Star Games will shop Shifting World on 3DS. The game is based on the SHIFT series, and is set in monochrome style world featuring 60 levels. Players will need to switch between 2D and 3D to access various platforms, and go through floors to reach locked areas. It contains an adventure mode, as well as bonus levels and timed challenges.
