GameStop has posted its Q3 2013 financial results and the firm reported an 18.8% increase in revenue of $2.11 billion compared to $1.77 billion year-over year. Earnings were up 45.3% to $68.6 million.

Call of Duty: Ghosts number one pre-ordered Xbox One title at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart
Call of Duty: Ghosts is already emerging as “the leading next generation title at retail,” according to Activision. Citing pre-order figures and sales at North American retailers, the game is the number one selling title in retail sales on PS4 and is the number one pre-ordered Xbox One title at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart.

God Eater 2 debuted on top of the Media Create charts with 266,326 units sold, giving PS Vita a much needed hardware boost and making it the second best selling system for the week. Call of Duty: Ghosts debuted in second with 190,631 units sold on PS3 and the Xbox 360 version cam in at number 13 with 12,950 units sold putting the total at 203,58.
PS Vita TV also debuted this week coming in third behind 3DS LL, and Vita, respectively. Full report below.

Xbox One will be available midnight tomorrow, November 21 (that’s first thing Friday morning by the way) at selected Tesco Extra stores in the UK. They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Amazon UK has updated its PS4 product page to warn customers that any orders made after November 13 will not make it to the buyer in time for Christmas. Xbox One orders on the other hand, “may” not be delivered in time.

Battlefield 4 has topped the Media Create charts in Japan, with 121,699 units moved on PS3 for its debut. Pokemon X and Y, which has been the top seller since it released on October 12, fell into second place. The DICE shooter only bested the Nintendo title by 6,069 units, making it rather close.

Sony is allowing digital retailers freedom to launch their own PSN store-fronts, starting with Amazon. The retailer has now opened its PSN shop in the States as an alternative outlet for digital PlayStation content.

Xbox One and PS4 pre-order customers at UK retailer GAME will be able to choose from a selection of console bundles ahead of their November 22 and November 29 launch respectively. The list of bundles and pricing has reportedly been leaked.

GameStop will be hosting pre-launch events in North America for PlayStation 4 on November 10. The events will take place at all stores, and each will be offering customers triple bonus credit on hardware traded towards a pre-ordered PS4. That’s around 90% extra credit to use in-store. Activities, refreshments and giveaways will be hosted at select locations and come November 14, “all eligible GameStop stores” will remain open leading up to the midnight launch of PS4.
