XSEED Games has announced its lineup for E3 next month. Grasshopper Manufacture’s Killer is Dead and GungHo Online’s Ragnarok Odyssey Ace are included in the publishers list.

Ken Kutaragi appointed as Marvelous AQL’s external director
Ken Kutaragi has been named Marvelous AQL’s external director, and will assume his new position at the end of June. According to a a Nikkei report, the former chairman, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment and “The Father of the PlayStation”, will help the firm develop its business further in Japan and in western markets. Marvelous AQL announced earlier this week its subsidiary, XSEED had been absorbed into the firm, and will serve as the Japanese company’s US arm. Thanks,

XSEED has announced a release date for Pandora’s Tower in North America. Originally just set for “April”, Wii users in the region will now be able to officially pick up the Ganbarion-developed title on April 16 for $39.99.

XSEED’s Ark of the Ages out on Android, iOS version coming soon
XSEED has released Ark of the Ages on Android. The first mobile title from the company is an action-RPG developed by Meteorise. Ark of the Ages has players taking on the role of a young knight who has been sent to investigate a series of incidents at a local village. Upon his arrival, he finds a massive ancient tower constructed by a wizard known as the Tower of Magic. You can guess where things go from there, as you meander through 24 dungeons. You can pick the game up through Google Play for $1.99 and soon on iOS.

Ys I & II Chronicles due on Valentine’s Day
If you live on the appropriate side of the dateline, you’ll be able to pick up Ys I & II Chronicles on Valentine’s Day. The rest of us antipodean suckers have technically to wait till February 15, which is at least 75% less romantic. The bundle is 15% off at pre-order, but will set you back $15 at launch. Ys is a Nihon Falcom RPG series dating back to 197 which XSEED has recently gone a bit crackers for, answering the localisation prayers of gamers over three decades.

Latest Trails title gets screens, story details
The Legend of Heroes: Sen No Kiseki is the latest game in the Trails line of Nihon Falcom’s RPG series, of which just one – The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky – has been localised to date. It’s a shame so few of these make it over as these new screens make it seem pretty lovely.

Killer Is Dead – Deep Silver to publish in Europe, XSEED in North America
Deep Silver will publish Grasshopper Manufacture’s Killer Is Dead in Europe, according to an announcement from the firm. The Suda 51 title, now owned by Japanese publisher GungHo and XSEED will be published the title in North America it has been confirmed. Killer is Dead launches this summer on PS3 and Xbox 360. Killer is Dead: XSEED downplays US publishing rumours
Killer is Dead – Grasshopper Manufacture’s rather mad-sounding hack n’ slash title – has been tied to publisher XSEED following a string of domain name registrations that appeared earlier this week. The publisher has contacted VG247 to deliver a frank, but painfully short debunker.
