Those anticipating the reveal of Company of Heroes 2 may not have much longer to wait, if a bit of swag sent to Kotaku is any indication. According to the site, THQ sent over a replica of the June 22, 1941 front page of The New York Times along with a card stating that “briefings begin May 7.” So, a May 7 reveal looks to be the day, then. The replica of the paper with the headline “Hitler Begins War on Russia, with Armies on March from Arctic to the Black Sea” can be seen through this online microfilm copy. Yesterday, scans from PC Gamer UK popped up online showing the game was not only in the works, but set for release in 2013 from Relic.

Although the publisher is bringing its games to the show, THQ won’t be fronting an E3 2012 booth.

Company of Heroes 2 is in the works, according to a scan of the upcoming issue of PC Gamer. The image was posted on Reddit, and the article details a visit the reporter took to Relic to see the game. According to what was gleaned from the scan, the title is set on the Eastern front of World War II and includes Stalingrad, Smolensk, Kursk and Moscow as locations. The game’s lead designer, Quinn Duffy, is quoted as saying: “We want more authenticity, we want more realism, we want more tactical improvements.” Shack contacted THQ regarding the scan and it had “no official comment on the images or article.”

THQ has announced the development of Saints Row: The Third – Enter The Dominatrix, a standalone expansion to the game for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 which adds super-powers.

As part of THQ’s restructuring process, SVP of European publishing Rory Donnelly has exited the firm. Donnelly joined the firm in 1999 and previously served as MD for France. His position will not be refilled as THQ has done away with it all together. THQ will report its Q4 results on May 15, so we expect to hear more about the restructuring at that time. Thanks, MCV.

THQ has sold its budget and casual PC firm ValuSoft to Cosmi for an undisclosed sum. The sale is part of the firm’s strategy to streamline focus on stronger franchises such as Darksiders and Saints Row. The Minnesota firm was purchased by THQ 10 years ago, and the publisher/distributor specializes in casual games sold through box retailers. Cosmi is also a budget-priced firm, and based out of California. Thanks, Gamasutra.

THQ’s released new 360 avatar gear for Darksiders II. Gear includes Reaper Armor for 400 MS points, with other items ranging from 80-400 MS points. A free T-shirt designed by Joe Madureira will also be offered if you like the game’s Facebook page.

Darksiders II launches in August for PS3, 360 and PC. It’ll follow as a Wii U launch title.

Shares in THQ saw the biggest jump in “two decades” today after announcing its Q4 estimates and banner shipping figures for Saints Row: The Third. Stock prices were up by 45% at zenith this morning, the largest increase increase since 1991. Good news for the firm as shares in it peaked at $36.39 during April 2007, and fell 90% over the last year after plaguing financial issues. THQ will report its Q4 results on May 15.

THQ’s announced Darksiders II will now release in August, delaying it from its previous June slot.

Tesco is promoting massive discount on big name AAA titles in a UK national this morning. The UK supermarket is advertising Mass Effect 3 and SSX for £24.91 and Saints Row: The Third and Street Fighter X Tekken for £21.91. Mario and Sonic at the London Olympics for Wii is advertised as £20. The offer seems to apply to online too if SFxT is a pointer.
