Hisashi Koinuma, Tecmo Koei’s executive vice president and go-to-guy for Dynasty Warriors raised the possibility of an open-world or RPG based Warriors game on the new consoles, with a “focus” on making the game “more realistic”, using more varied terrain and strategy. As well as the most realistic feature of all: “a lot more destroyable objects and things”. After the cut, Koinuma ruminates on his past.

According to Wikipedia, Lu Bu, the most fearsome opponent of the Dynasty Warriors series, did indeed find time between smacking heads to pop out a daughter. Gematsu reports she has “scary eyes”, a mini-skirt, short hair and a cross spear. Zhu Ran will also join the cast. Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends is coming to PlayStation 3 and Vita in November in Japan, and for PS4 during the console’s launch window.
