Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 will receive a limited Ultimate Box edition in Japan, which contains an action figure, and all three games in the trilogy among other things. The game’s standard box-art has also been revealed by Square-Enix. Check it all out inside.

Square Enix will discuss the “future of Final Fantasy” during a pre-E3 event on June 11. The event will take place at 9.00am PDT. During the event, an invite of which was sent out to journalists attending E3, a Q&A with senior vice president Shinji Hashimoto will take place. Hashimoto told D’toid back in February that the firm was working on a next-gen Final Fantasy title, so hopefully fans will hear more next week. Square Enix will be broadcasting its E3 announcements and happenings on show floor live during E3 next week.

Snow Villiers is included in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13. This is according to a scan from a Japanese magazine posted below. Snow is now the governor-general of the City of Pleasure, and has had a much needed make-over, as you can see below. No more stocking caps for this fella. Lightning Returns is slated for a fall release on PS3 and Xbox 360. Thanks, Gematsu.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 is getting the PlayArts Kai treatment, as publisher Square-Enix has revealed a figure depicting moody protagonist Lightning. No pricing or release date has been mentioned, but Square Enix Merchandise head Hidemi Matsuzuka has promised more information soon. Head inside for some photos.
