Final Fantasy XIII-2: Requiem of The Goddess DLC launch trailer

Square Enix has released a stylish trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2′s Requiem of the Goddess DLC pack. The content pack will release in Japan today, and details the fight between Lightning and Caius. Completing the DLC missions will allow you to unlock the newer Lightning character model for your team. The DLC will also arrive in the west, but has no launch date yet. Two other DLC packs are also releasing today – The Snow and Valfodr DLC pack and the Mage and Moogle costume DLC pack. You can check out the trailer after the break.

Hitman: Sniper Challenge – 8 minutes of 47 sniping action

Square’s scrapped an embargo on gameplay footage for Hitman: Sniper Challenge ahead of its general availability for Hitman Absolution pre-orders tomorrow. Watch Clay snipe snipe below the break and see how pathetic my high score is compared to his. Show-off.

Sniper Challenge launches for pre-orders on PSN and XBL tomorrow, with it coming to Steam on August 1. Absolution launches on November 20 for PS3, 360 and PC.

Kingdom Hearts 3D demo to release in North America

A demo for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be released North America, according to director Tetsuya Nomura. Speaking with Famitsu, Nomura confirmed the demo will include the Sora scenario Traverse Town which is currently the demo available in Japan. A date for the demo wan’t noted. The full game is slated for release in the US and Europe in July. Thanks, Gematsu.

US Kingdom Hearts 3D pre-order bonuses include three AR cards

Square has announced North American pre-order incentives for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. While supplies last, pre-order customers will acquire three augmented reality cards which unlock Dream Eaters and a 360° viewing stand. One wild AR card will randomly unlock one of the three rare Dream Eaters: Ursa Circus, Sudo Neku or Meowjesty. The second AR card unlocks R&R Seal Dream Eater, and the last AR card unlocks the 360° viewing stand. The game releases in North America on July 31.

Square releases guide for FFXIV players returning via Welcome Back Campaign

Square has posted a a guide for players returning to Final Fantasy XIV. The guide lists all sorts of additions to the configuration menu, as well as some “must-have settings for mouse and keyboard users.” It has also posted links to all the patch notes released since version 1.19 so that you can get caught up on all the changes. Square sent out invitations to inactive players as part of its Welcome Back Campaign with the release of patch 1.22. It allows former players to return to the game and try out v2.0 for no charge for 10 days.

Retailers list Hitman: Absolution for September release

Various UK retailers are hosting place holders Hitman: Absolution, pegging it for September release – although one retailer doesn’t agree on the date. Zavi and HotUKDeals have all three versions landing on September 17, which is a Monday, while ShopTo has September 24 down as a place holder – which is also a Monday. Square has yet to announce a release window for the title, but it has been expected to land sometime in the fall for quite some time. Thanks, MCV.

Deus Ex releasing on PS Store May 16

Square Enix had confirmed the original Deus Ex will be released on the PlayStation Store May 16 for £7.99, the firm has told Eurogamer. The title was outed earlier in the month by a PEGI rating. Also on the docket are Conflict Desert Storm 2 and Conflict Vietnam which will release on the store May 23 and May 30, for £7.99 and £5.49, respectively.

The Requiem of the Goddess DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 will release on May 15, according to PlayStation Taiwan. The previously announced content is Lightning-centric, and also contains White and Black Mage outfits for Serah and Noel.
