Square Enix has announced it will broadcast its E3 presentations live. Dubbed “Square Enix Presents,” the firm will reveal more details on the program’s schedule, games and personalities who will be featured in the coming weeks leading up to E3 in June. The firm says the presentation will “offer a diverse and user-friendly range of programming aimed at sharing unique perspectives with Square Enix’s global audience.” Viewers can expect coverage of all key titles in Square Enix’s 2013 lineup, and the event can be watched through here on YouTube throughout E3′s duration June 11-13.

Square Enix’s US president and CEO Mike Fischer has left the company, according to a report on Polygon. Fischer joined the company in 2010, and according to the report, he is now vice president of digital video and music at Amazon Japan. Prior to his stint at Square, Fischer worked for Microsoft, SEGA and Namco Bandai. He told Polygon he left Square on good terms. “We can confirm that Mike Fischer is no longer with Square Enix,” said the company in a statement. “We’d like to thank Mike for all of his efforts and contributions to the company and to its employees.” The firm’s president Yoichi Wada left earlier this year.

Back on April 1 this year, Square Enix celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Squaresoft’s merger with Enix on April 1, 2003 by launching a teaser site which disappeared a day later. The teaser site has been relaunched with a countdown clock stopped at 00:46:49 and a new message.

Square-Enix has posted its financial report for the financial year ended March 31st, highlighting a ¥13.7 billion loss amid what it has called a ‘competitive’ console market. The company will now look to the PC, mobile and tablet space with greater focus to reverse the trend.

Square Enix has announced that Hitman: Sniper Challenge, the pre-order incentive for Hitman: Absolution, and Gyromancer – the puzzle-RPG – are now available on its free-to-play platform, CoreOnline. The service now features six games available instantly in your browser, with more games to come. Users can play on the service free for 20 minutes per day, with advertisements included or purchase a subscription for $2.99 per month to get unlimited access to all games without advertising. Square Enix is feeling quite generous at the moment it seems; its offering Tomb Raider at 50% off on Steam, which depending on territory could be as little as $25. It’s also knocked 50% off the Tomb Raider Collection, a sizable bundle with every PC release to date, although not DLC. The sale is available until 10:00AM PST on Monday.

Crystal Dynamics has been long-rumoured as working on a reboot of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, but we may find out either way soon, according to the LinkedIn profile of the studio’s lead principal artist Matt McCulloch.
