Aliens: Colonial Marines Wii U mysteriously delayed
Aliens: Colonial Marines still has not received a new released date for Wii U having missed a targeted March launch. A Sega representative simply told Gamespot that the publisher has no comment on the matter, and Gearbox and port developer Demiurge are also playing mum. The shooter attracted a great deal of attention at release due to its poor critical reception, and discrepancies between promotional materials and the final product have even drawn the wrath of the UK’s Advertising Standards Agency.

Phantasy Star Online 2 delayed
Sorry, Sega fans; the publisher has confirmed a delay to the US release of Phantasy Star Online 2. Polygon reports Sega doesn’t have any firm release window in mind at present, merely allowing that the title has been pushed back from its expected first-quarter launch. An online-focused action RPG, Phantasy Star Online 2 hit PS3 in Japan in July 2012, and released on Vita in February.

Total War: Rome 2 adds Egyptian faction
The latest faction for Total War: Rome 2 has been revealed the “independent, powerful” Egypt. These successors to Alexander The Great’s legacy and the rulers of Ptolemaic Egypt bring “Hellenistic fighting prowess to north Africa, with serried ranks of fearsome pikemen, devastating scythed war-chariots and terrifying war-elephants.” Yikes. Despite their prowess in batt;e, though, they are also well-versed in statecraft and diplomacy, so know thine enemy etc. You can find out more on the Egyptian faction through the game’s wiki. Rome 2 is expected sometime in 2013 for PC.

Sega teasing new PS3 and Vita title
Sega Japan has posted a teaser site which suggests a new PlayStation 3 and Vita game will be revealed on March 28. The animated page shows some sort of dust or sand falling from the sky and mounting up in a small pile in the grass. We have absolutely no clue what it might be, and as there’s no equivalent western tease, it may not be something we can get our grubby paws on anyway. But go ahead and find some way to convince yourself it’s Shenmue 3.
Thanks, IGN.

Sonic Unleashed playable on PC thanks to modders
Sonic Unleashed has been brought to PC thanks to intrepid modders. My first question was “why?” but now it’s “how?” as the game doesn’t exist on the PC format. it’s simple: they modded Sonic Generations to make it run silly. No wait, that’s not simple at all.

Eurogamer has a touching article on how The Creative Assembly rallied round the young man and was quite cut by his death. Total War: Rome 2 arrives on PC sometime this year.
