Project X Zone gets new screens
Siliconera‘s posted new screens of Project X Zone, the collaboration between Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega. It’ll come to 3DS in Japan later this year, and has now been confirmed to be in development at Xenoblade Chronicles developer Monolithsoft.

Famitsu’s confirmed this week the developer for Project X Zone is Xenoblade Chronicles developer Monolith Soft. The Namco, Sega and Capcom crossover launches in Japan for 3DS later this year.

Launch trailers – Game of Thrones, Ghost Recon, Sonic 4 Episode 2

Sonic Labyrinth headed to 3DS eShop
Game Gear classic Sonic Labyrinth is due for release on the Japanese 3DS eShop on May 16, according to Siliconera. The unusual isometric title will go for ¥300. No word from Sega regarding a western release but it doesn’t seem too far fetched; it’s one of a small number of releases from the ill-fated Sega portable to begin trickling onto Ninty’s latest.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown launching on June 5
Sega’s announce Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown will launch on PSN on June 5 in the US and June 6 on XBLA and EU PSN for £9.99/$14.99/1200 MS points. The game, the latest build from the arcade version, will feature two new characters that didn’t appear in the original version of VF5, as well as the availability of day one DLC.

Speaking to Kotaku, the Gearbox boss gave a detailed description of how the game intersects with the movies. You have to be pretty deep in the fandom to appreciate it, but if you do, I suspect you’ll be champing at the bit for Aliens: Colonial Marines to release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in northern autumn, as well as the as-yet undated Wii U launch.

Sonic 4 Episode 2 hits PSN May 16, own both episodes to play as Metal Sonic
SEGA has announced Sonic 4 Episode 2 will land on the PS Store May 16, and if you own Episode 1 and purchase the second, you can play as Metal Sonic. While he is a boss in the game as well, those who own both episodes get exclusive access to Episode Metal which is an exclusive zone telling the story of what Metal Sonic was up to during the first episode. Set in the world of Episode 1, you can play stages that have been rearranged for Metal Sonic. The game will run you £9.99/€12.99 and will be accompanied with the release of Sonic PSN avatars. Watch 11 minutes worth of Anarchy Reigns gameplay
Platinum has released an 11 minute gameplay video for Anarchy Reigns. We’re not sure what is being said, as we don’t speak Japanese, but there’s a lot of death and killing going on which we got completely. The multiplayer action title is out in July on PS3 and Xbox 360. Thanks, Dark.
