Ubisoft’s not the US publisher for No More Heroes on PS3 and 360

nomoreheroes-heroes'paradise

Ubisoft has confirmed that it will not be the publisher of No More Heroes or Heroes’ Paradise on Xbox 360 and PS3 when released in the US.

“Ubisoft will not be publishing either of these versions,” a company spokesperson told G4, although it still plans to publish the sequel on Wii – No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.

Rising Star, which is the European publisher, has not announced one for the US, but we’ll send ‘em a mail to see if a decision has been made yet.

No More Heroes might have censored 360 release in Japan

nomoreheroes-heroes'paradise

A retail listing for the Xbox 360 version of No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise in Japan suggests that it will more than likely carry a CERO Z rating (mature) when released in February.

This is because it’s the North American version, which still has “bloodshed” intact. With such a strong rating, it is not likely to be carried on normal retail shelves.

PS3 versions probably won’t get the same rating, as it’s the censored version originally released in Japan.

If this sort of thing interests you, Joystiq has more on it here.

First No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise screens are presented in glorious next-gen-o-vision

nmhhp_1

The first screens of Grasshopper’s Xbox 360/PS3 port of No More Heroes have materialized, and we must admit, the game cleans up quite nicely.

We’re gonna miss vigorously shaking the Wii-Mote to recharge our beam sabers, though. Oh well, with all these newly de-clothed women frolicking about (seriously, it’s a new game mode), we’re sure a suitable replacement will pop up in no time.

No, not that, you pervs! We mean, like, a TV remote or something. Because we’ll… want to turn up the TV volume at some point perhaps? Yeah, let’s go with that.

Check out all the screens over at Kotaku.

No More Heroes 2 shots have two swords

nomoreheroesa2

Some new shots of No More Heroes 2 have emerged from Japan and, to be honest, they do look swish.

They mostly show Travis’ double beam katana, which is a brand new addition to the series,

Catch them over at Kotaku. It’s due for Wii next year.
