WildStar: Settler and Scientist content detailed with videos
Carbine Studios has released additional information on WildStar’s two remaining Paths: Scientist and Settler. Paths have been incorporated into character creation as well as integrated into the core gameplay. You can see how this works in the videos below as you get to know the Scientist and Settler a bit better. There’s some screenshots below in as well. Wildstar is expected later this year and you can sign up for the beta here.

Guild Wars 2 has been given a permanent price drop
Guild Wars 2 has been given a permanent price drop, NCsoft has announced. The standard edition will now run you £34.99/$49.99 and the Deluxe version £49.99/$69.99. The new price point, which is $10 off the launch price, is effective starting today. The new price coincides with the conclusion of the Southsun Cove event next week, called Last Stand at Southsun. Wildstar developer video demonstrates importance of movement, double jump
Wildstar has a new video in which developer Carbine Studios discusses gameplay mechanics and how movement plays a major role in every part of the game. Even double jumping will be important in some instances, such as when you are exploring high places with platforms and missing one means death. You can watch the video below. Wildstar update details the Nexus region of Crimson Isle
Wildstar screens and information pertaining to the Crimson Isle region along with its allies and enemies, has been released by Carbine Studios. The land of the Deradune looks formidable, indeed. You can have a look at the shots below, and read all about the region through the official website. There’s a whole list of “coming soon” slots on the site pertaining to other regions in the game, but you can refresh your memory on Galeras, Algoroc, and the Northern Wilds while you are perusing things. Guild Wars 2 free trial scheduled this weekend
ArenaNet has announced it will throw a free trial event for Guild Wars 2 April 19-21. The trial is open even to those who participated in the last event in November 2012, and returning players should find their accounts still waiting for them. The event will be gated by keys, and ArenaNet has provided a list of sites which will be handing them out.

Wildstar beta registrations now open to all
Carbine Studios has opened Wildstar beta registration to all comers; you can get on board here. NCSoft told Destructoid that the beta won’t follow the usual weekend-only pattern, with testing periods expected to run for a week or more at a time. Wildstar is expected later this year; its conceit is that it offers a cartoony sci-fi world to explore with a kind of wild west feel. It hopes to offer long-term end-game value.

Guild Wars 2 adds PvP, WvW and Achievements leaderboards, more to come
ArenaNet has launched a set of leaderboards for player versus player, world versus world and achievements in Guild Wars 2. This initial set is limited to the top 100 players, but the developer plans to expand them and add more ways for you to parse the data. Guild Wars 2 Flame and Frost: The Razing detailed
ArenaNet has released a pile of new information about The Razing, the third episode of its Flame and Frost living story event. The Razing kicks off on March 26, and follows the adventures of the norn Braham and charr Rox as they battle to save their homelands. As well as new quests, the episode is accompanied by new world versus world progression and rankings systems; more bounty hunting; leaderboards; and city guides to point you to living story content.
